Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

"Well that sucks. Might have to get a tutor or something...or bribe the professor."

"I've got no cash," Fionna said, "not that I would anyway. Total hero, and I wanna be the best that I can be and all of that stuff."

"Oh not you, Me. When I get to that class." Ace said realizing she thought he meant her bribing the teacher. Ace was a pirate, he did things he wanted to do. He wasn't above bribery to get his way either.

The only adjustment Fionna had to make was the lack of movement...and the fact that going this slow made Fionna a total klutz for some reason. The intimacy was really more of a "not much space to move" thing.

"Er, ha, yeah, let's do that. I'm kinda sucking right now."

Fionna raised an eyebrow. "You think that'll work? Anyway, don't you wanna do the things the hard way so you can go and get better in math or whatever?"

"Not really. If it's not practical I usually don't worry about it. I don't really like it when people tell me what I do and don't need to know. It infringes on my ideas of being free."

[fionna_time]

"Oh," Fionna said, shrugging. "I guess I understand that. I just...I don't like people thinking I can't do it, you know? And I really wanna be a SEED."

I'm sure you could do anything you wanted too, Fionna. You've certainly got spunk! Have some more punch! Let's liven this party up!!!" Ace said refilling her cup and his own.

[fionna_time]

"Yeah I can! I don't give up on anything that's worth going for!" Fionna said, grinning. "Let's get this party moving!"

GULP.

Ace downed his glass and had another. Feeling nice and buzzed he took Fionna's hand and led her back to the dance floor intending to dance the rest of the night away!

"Whoa!" Fionna exclaimed, but grinned nonetheless. She liked this guys style! With the punch working its magic, Fionna found that, even with the headyness on her, she wanted to move more, and was keeping in step, making sure not to stumble.

"Then I'll have to prove you wrong," Thatch said, even more playfully sliding the hand on her back a little lower to the dip in the small of her back and pressing her closer.

"If it's you, I'll always find a way, sweet lady."

[thatched]

"Fair enough." She could do what she liked as far as he was concerned. He finished his cup and nodded satisfactorily. If people weren't reeling in a few hours he wasn't doing his job right.

"Hope you manage to get a smile or two out of the night anyway, miss," he said amicably enough. Hard to be annoyed with someone with this much punch sitting in your belly.

"Our school thing?" He blinked at her. Balamb was full of school things so if she wanted him to respond she'd have to be a little more...precise.

"So we can be togetherforever." Ace's fingers felt nice but a shower'd feel better. He stood up and slumped against Ace, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

"Somethin's wrong. Room is spinnin'."

[thatched]

"Unless we're well hung," Thatch said with a grin. With this much whiskey in them he couldn't help but go there. You should just be happy he didn't go further.

Though he was distracted by just how cute Namur was being with Fionna. It was adorable really, but bringing it up now would only ruin it so he kept quiet.

"So, Miss Fionna, what do you plan to do know Nam-chan's dirty little secret?"

The awkwardness of earlier was forgotten as Rainbow giggled happily, quite content to bounce around and enjoy herself. She still didn't understand human dancing, even after being one, but hey, if you've got two legs you probably gotta do something with your other limbs.

He straightened as he saw her coming closer and offered her a warm smile. He didn't think he'd look as down as he'd felt, but maybe she was just asking because he wasn't inside with the others.

"Just getting some fresh air." He held up the bottle. "Care for a little nip or two?"

Rainbow giggled a little, taking to the air to better watch him. "I figured you could do it on autopilot, like you didn't even need to think about it. I bet you could do it in your sleep. In fact I'm pretty sure you answered a question I had about the periodic table in your sleep, once."

"Well, I mean, YOU don't have to do what I do, but you're a teacher. You have to get all your lesson plans and stuff ready, right?"

He did have to do those.

"Exactly," Maria said with a nod. "And that's exactly what I'll do, once classes start back up again."

"Oh, don't get me wrong," she said with a sly smile. "I'm definitely enjoying watching all of you guys out there on the dance floor. That's a show worth the price of entry."

"I heard that joke from Namur already," Fionna said, although unaware Thatch meant it in a different way. RIGHT over her heard.

Fionna was unaware of cuteness here, poor girl.

"I'm gonna give him grief about being a dirty ol' gossip is what!" Fionna said, messing with his hair. She still didn't believe it of course.

And do something Fionna was, because this was totally what these kind of parties were for anyway! Which is why Fionna was busting a serious move, all flips and yes, even a split!

She nodded. "Okay, we'll do that. And we can take a step back for practicing."

She moved her hands so they could take a step apart. Maybe that would make it easier.
