Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

He was glad there were others. Though he wasn't sure who RD was...unless she meat that Dash character. But then again, Fionna was the kind of person who could make a lot of friends just by existing, so he wasn't too worried. Instead he smirked around his bottle.

"Oh that column. You know Namur writes that." A blatant lie for her amusement. "He'll deny it back and forth if you call him on it, but that Fishman will gossip in the drop of a hat."

Fionna gave him an incredulous look. "Ok, now I know YOU are messing with me. I've see Namur write, and it looks like crap. Besides that, come on dude. No way you're ever gonna convince me that he is a gossip. I hang around him enough to know that's not his style."

That would be like saying that Rainbow Dash secretly liked petting cute, cuddly animals and making baby noises: some things you just know aren't going to ever be.

"You might as well tell me that the party you guys were planning was going to be all ball room and junk."

"A fair argument to all but one. My little lady, Namur is one of the worst gossips I've ever seen." At least among the crew. Outside he was as tightlipped as anyone could get, but he swapped stories with the best of them and Thatch only had to talk to him for a few hours to listen to the stream of personality from the rough and tumble members of the crew. Though he also had really good digs on Izou that Thatch hadn't been able to pry out of him with rusty fish hooks so there was that.

"Give him time and give him men and he'll be telling everyone's stories to anyone who will listen. I guarantee that. Ask him about the Fossa incident." Which was only safe to ask since Fossa wasn't here at the moment.

Fionna raised an eyebrow. "If that's true, he's still not the one that's runnin the column. Still, I think I'll ask him about that anyway! Namur is a pain, but he's still pretty cool to listen to!"

OK, so maybe Fionna like to gossip a little herself sometimes.

"Tell you what, I'll make you a bet. Ten Gil says he's running the column. If you can get him to admit it, you win. If you can't, I win." And he held out his hand to shake on the deal.

Fionna frowned. "Dude, I know you're a pirate. He could just not say it because you told him to, and then you can split the Gil. I'm not gonna fall for your mind games!"

"So if he's not saying it because I told him not to, does that mean he actually is?" And he looks at her as if this is a serious philosophical question.

[fionna_time]

"Dude, I just won't believe it! Besides, why would Namur spread stuff about me and Pinkie Pie? That's just weird! I believe it even less if you involve cash!"

[thatched]

"Well you know what they say about Fishmen," Thatch said with an expansive shrug. "They have hidden depths. At any rate, what's 10 gil between friends? Shall I mark it down to 5?"

[fionna_time]

That joke went over her head. She's just a simple adventurer Thatch!

"Pfft. I can go ask him, I guess, but I still can't believe it!"

"Let's ask him together." He offers his arm to Fionna. "My lady."

"Then let's, my good sir," Fionna said, linking her arm with his, grinning.

He stands a little straighter and sets the bottle on the table as he moves inside, moving into a little sideways dance step as the music hits him, wondering if Fionna will adjust. As he does he bellows calls out.

"Oh Nam-chaaaan!"

Oh come on Thatch, Fionna was born to dance (apparently)! She shuffles and shimmies a little herself, waiting for Namur to come over.

"We totes have an important question to ask you!"

"SHIT Y' ALL'RE NOISY!" he bellowed back. When Thatch was casually dancing with a girl and had an important question to ask it usually meant he was in need of a third person to round out his polyamorous endeavors. So when Namur saw that Fionna was Thatch's dance partner, he laughed wickedly.

"Don't think this'n's quite old 'nuff t' handle y' right, Thatch," he said, ribbing Thatch in the side. "Better put her back in the water 'til she's grown a little."

Fionna was within earshot of this, and naive though she might have been before coming, now her mind was quick to understand what was being said, so she trod hard on the fish man's leg.

"We're not asking about your messed up mind!" Fionna said, glaring. "And I am so old enough, whatever! I wanted to ask if you wrote that stupid column!"

Namur didn't have to be using haki to see that response coming, and kicked her back when she stomped.

"Like in the newspaper?"

Hey, you started it, so get your kicks! Fionna was not cool with having her age thrown at her!

"Yeah, the gossip rag, what else?!"

Namur stared at Fionna. Then at Thatch. Then back at Fionna.

"Seriously? Y' think I wrote that shit?" he asked. Then, in a completely serious tone, "A'ight. Sure. Y' caught me. Been writin' that thing since before I even got t' B-Garden that's how damn smooth I am."

Fionna listened quietly, then grinned and turned to Thatch.

"I win."

They were completely adorable together. Thatch couldn't help but watch with an amused smile at the exchange and one that got even broader as Namur admitted it. He'd kiss the Fishman if he didn't want to get punched for it.

"See I told you, sweetpea," he said to Fionna, holding out a hand. And then...wait...she'd -- No he'd said... because he'd thought that... He laughed and fished out five gil, flipping it into her hand. He'd just managed to outfox himself.

"Here you go, darlin'."

Fionna laughed. "Dude, you are such screwy guys, really. You make my head hurt, But your gas drink is awesome and you have fun! I totally wanna hang more with you!"

She looked over at Namur. "You know what I thought, right?"

"Sheheheh, when pirates hang it's usually from the gallows," he said. He stooped down and put his hands on both sides of her hips. "Jump, Smolt. Yer too damn short."

If she complies, he'll guide her up into a sitting position on one of his broad shoulders, then stand so he's mostly face to face with Thatch again.

"A'ight, what did y' think?"

"Guh, sounds pretty severe," Fionna said, shaking her head. "And I'm not short, you're just too tall!"

Actually, she was fairly tall for her age, although she does jump onto his shoulder.

"I didn't think it was you, duh!"

[thatched]

"Unless we're well hung," Thatch said with a grin. With this much whiskey in them he couldn't help but go there. You should just be happy he didn't go further.

Though he was distracted by just how cute Namur was being with Fionna. It was adorable really, but bringing it up now would only ruin it so he kept quiet.

"So, Miss Fionna, what do you plan to do know Nam-chan's dirty little secret?"
