Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

Ace was dancing and having a great time when he noticed Fionna out of the corner of his eye. He realized it was the girl from before, when Garden was tumbling. She had stopped to see how she could help. He made his way over to her and smiled charmingly.

"Hey pretty lady, care to dance with me?"

[fionna_time]

Oh hey, it was that guy without the-wAIT. She HAD met Ace before! She just forgot it when she was talking to Namur, not able to get out of her head the idea of a fish guy without a shirt. What did Namur expect when he said that Ace was his brother?!

"Sure!" She said, blushing slightly at the compliment. "You dance fast or slow?"

Hopefully the former. She was in a peppy mood!

"Fast, baby. I'm Ace by the way. May I have your name?" He asked as he moved into step beside her, following the wild beat of the music Namur was playing. He himself was feeling fairly peppy as well and it was nice to enjoy something familiar in this crazy place he had found himself in.

"Cool, I'm totally into that right now! I know your name, you're Namur's bro, right? I'm Fionna!" The girl stuck out her hand and gripped it strong, winking. "Nice to meet you Ace!"

And there she goes, totally into this old style dance!

"Yeah, we're brothers~ Only I'm not a fishman, I'm human like Thatch." Ace grinned and shook her hand before losing himself in the music, dancing with her.

[fionna_time]

"I noticed!" She said, shrugging her shoulders into the dance. "He said you liked to show off your bare chest anyway, something about attracting ladies!"

"That's a perk, not the reason I do it." Ace laughed. Leave it to Namur to tarnish his reputation before he has a chance to make one himself. He lost himself in the dance, silent for now as they moved to the song enjoying themselves.

"Then why do it?" She asked, keeping in stride with him and even doing a little bit of a Charleston? It was hard to tell, Fionna moved so quickly.

Ace didn't do a dance anyone would recognize, it was simply moving to the beat. "To show off my tat. Show the world my Pops has my back." He smiled turning so she could see his tattoo on his back.

"No kidding?" Fionna hadn't noticed it yet, but now? Her eyes were saucers. "DUDE! That is so flippin' boss! That's your dad? He looks like he eats people's souls with his eyes!"

"Yeah, he's awesome!" He said not realizing she thinks that's what he really looks like.

Let her keep that hope alive, all right?

"So it looks like we both take biology this semester! Think you're up to it?"

"I've never been to school before...so I have no idea." Ace said with a crooked grin. "How hard can it be though?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna grimaced, even dancing. "I dunno, sciences and math and junk can be pretty hard. Had to take a remedial class my first trimester."

[mera_mera_ace]

"Really? But I mean I can do math..I can add and stuff and figure out the angle needed to set a really good bear trap...." Ace had no idea that this meant proving the theory on paper...not in the jungle. But he figured having experience was more important?

"Hmmm..wanna get some punch and you can tell me more about school?"

[fionna_time]

"Well YOU can probably can," Fionna said, sighing. "But I don't go to school back home, too busy fighting things, kicking butt you know?"

She nodded. She was getting pretty thirsty.

"Oh? Are you a pirate too, Fionna?" He asked as they headed to the refreshment table.

[fionna_time]

She shook her head. "Nah, I'm a hero where I'm from, gotta fight monsters all the time!"

[mera_mera_ace]

"A hero you say? Well you're a cute hero if ever there was one." Ace said with a wide smile, handing her a cup of punch and taking one for himself.

"Well miss Fionna, here's to new friendships!" Ace said raising his glass in salute to her before taking a long sip. Wow...more alcohol then punch...someone must have added more booze to it.

Fionna giggled, reddening a little. "Aw, thanks! You're not so bad looking yourself guy!"

Smooth Ace.

"Ok, to new friendships!" She cheered, taking a long drink, then hiccuping. "O-oh yeah!"

"Thanks, and that's good punch." Ace grinned watching as she took a long drink. "Woah, you alright? I guess you didn't know someone spiked it."

[fionna_time]

"Actually, I was there when they were pouring it in," Fionna admitted, laughing. "I guess I just forgot!"

Ace just shook his head and laughed. This girl was something else. She seemed like someone his little brother Luffy would want in his crew.

"So Fionna, you're a cadet..what year?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna took a drink, then gave a loud burp, laughing.

"Third trimester! This'll prolly be the last time I can get down and party like this in a bit, actually."

"Cant have fun when you're in classes? That sounds really really dull." Ace said as he took another long drink from his cup before refilling it.
