Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

"That is crazy!" Fionna chuckled. "That's, like, the exact opposite of my teachers here! One of 'em is the fish dude, and the other is that tall guy. They TOTES cut lose at this kinda stuff! Namur even dances all crazy!"

"Man, that's gonna be something to see. I can't imagine Ed cutting loose to save my life!"

Of course, for all that she had absolutely no hesitation or qualms about ragging on Ed, she still did it all with infinite, almost tender fondness.

Fionna could definitely see that.

"I'd be careful though. Whoever writes that newspaper junk might here and be all 'Rainbow Dash professes her love for human grump machine' or something like that. You SAW what they wrote about me and Pinkie!"

"Naw, I'm pretty sure the gossip column doesn't write about stuff that's actually true..." She laughed a little nervously and a little sadly, running a hoof through her mane.

"Of course they do-wha-HUH?" Fionna sputtered. "You mean you actually are dating the awesome magic that's not magic guy?!"

"No." Rainbow shook her head. "He'd never go for it. Said as much."

[fionna_time]

Fionna snorted in disbelief. "Are you kidding? What, is he against ponies or something? I mean, look at you, you breathe awesome! His loss."

"Yeah, actually, that's pretty much it. I'm a pony, and he's a human."

She tried to keep grinning. She tried her very best.

Fionna shook her head. "Maybe he's just not into dating, man. All this species junk, what does that matter? Like, love is love, or whatever."

She shrugged. "Where I'm from, everyone is all mutated or different anyway. I couldn't date my own kind even if I wanted to. I'm the last one."

"That's.... I can understand that. Guess it kind of works out the other way for us. You got brought someplace where there's tons of people like you, and I got brought someplace where there's nopony like me."

This conversation was starting to really get Rainbow down...

Fionna made a face, and patted the pony on the neck.

"Hey, at least you have people you know, and you can fly, and you're a SEED! In time, people will be bustin' down your door. You have, like, natural talent people can only dream of! You're like me, RD, one of a kind!"

And she meant it too.

"Besides, who has time for that other stuff when you can run this place?"

"Yeah," she said unconvincingly. "I know I'm too cool for him. Shouldn't worry about it at all! And there's plenty for me to do as the best flyer in Garden..."

[fionna_time]

"You know it!" Fionna bumped her hand with the pony's hooves. "I know he's cool and all, but come on, you are Rainbow Dash! As it is, I gotta make sure I keep up with you! Now come on, you gotta dance with me!"

"So long as it's not BALLROOM." Rainbow made a face. Not that it would bem, of course, but Dash herself had shifted into something of a complainy mood.

Fionna faulted. "Oh..yeah, I actually gotta take that class this semester. That's gonna suck hard."

"It won't be so bad. You're already a human," the pony grumbled.

"Well...can you show me?"

"I didn't bring any of the potion," Rainbow said sheepishly. "Didn't think I'd need it. I was kinda looking forward to just hanging out as a pony, instead of having to be human just to learn."

[fionna_time]

"Barf that," Fionna said. "I don't want you dancing with me if you can't be yourself! You...sure you can't show me as a pony? If not, we can just dance something else!"

She would worry about the ball room class when the time came.

"They pretty much made me learn all the ballroom as a human. I guess I can see why, it's just... kinda hard to work as a pony with a human partner." She could admit that logic even as she was annoyed by it. "But just plain dancing, that I'm all for!"

"Oh," Fionna said, frowning. "That kinda sucks, I was hoping I could get some pointers. Eh. Guess I'll have to wing it. I'll probably have a harder time with other stuff anyway."

She nodded. "Yeah, I know! Uh, what DO ponies in your world dance to anyway?"

"Music, of course," Rainbow said with a grin, winging her way towards the dance floor. "I'll give you pointers on ballroom later! For now we just have some fun!"

"Well yeah, but I mean what kin-" ah well, she would find out in a minute, right?

"All right RD, pick a song!"

Rainbow didn't even bother to choose one, just jumped out to start dancing to the music already going. Apparently, the club can't even handle her right now.
