Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

Fionna pulls her tongue back, making a face. "What the heck kinda thing is that to think! A kiss! Perverted stuff? I'm just sticking my tongue out! Ugh, maybe there's somethin' to being a smolt after all! Who just goes and thinks that stuff?"

She shook her head. "Dude, you can't think I don't know a dirt ball when I see them, and if they try to take advantage of me, they'll get one in the balls. Even I know what kinda junk some people think. I'm not that naive."

Fionna grinned. "Yeah, I figured that much out man. It's fun to think I make you blush, makes me feel all special or something. but I know you just do it easy!"

Well, she hung out with him voluntarily, so her dirtball radar couldn't have been that finely tuned. Namur shrugged, even as his blush deepened slightly. He kept promising himself that one day he'd learn to make it go away. So far, all attempts have only lead to making it worse.

"So long as y' realize there's shitty douchebags out there, I guess it's okay," he mumbled. There was a lot that she said that he didn't really want to chase, conversationally. It would result in either frustration, more whining, or continued embarrassment and Namur didn't feel like dealing with any of those things. He switched out the music, threw in a riotous, fast paced piece. Those that weren't ready to raise the roof could take their sorry attempts at romance outside.

There was being a dirtball, and then there was doing your best to hide it. She could clearly see with Namur that he meant well, even if his feelings were sometimes fairly easy to guess.

"Of course man. I told you that I'm a hero on my world, I see a lot of different people. and they can get pretty messed up. But its cool that you'll watch out for me though! I mean, I know I'm pretty different from you guys, but you don't have to do it. Thanks."

You thought you were blushing before? Fionna stands on tip toe and gives Namur an affectionate nudge, but then the music goes on.

"AW YEAH! Fionna exclaimed, stomping about.

Yep, his whole face and ears made a smart match for his gills. Namur chuffed, but by that time Fionna had started stomping around, so he timed it right to kick the back of her knee, just hard enough to make it bend but not hurt.

"Go home Smolt, yer drunker'n I thought," he groused. "Damn pink shit, I ought t' toss it all int' the sea."

Fionna just gave him a knowing look when he kicked her and shimmied away, still dancing. She was perfectly aware she was drunk: but what she'd done was not because of that.

Not that Namur needed to know. He always just got weird with affection anyway.

"No way! Besides, I told you that I'd help you clean after, remember?"

"Oh, right," Namur mumbled. "Well, get lost anyway. Sure y' got other people y' ain't pestered yet."

"I got dancing to do, so you go, do some old people stuff!" Fionna teased.

"Like spin the damn tunes y' want t' dance to?" Namur asked dryly.

Fionna stopped a moment, then smiled. "Yeah, true. Thanks, Namur! They're really good picks!"

Namur rolled his eyes. Dumbass. Didn't she know this old fogey is the damn party?

"Damn right they are. Next time, I'mma find a shitty live band that'll rock y' harder'n a damn Knock-Up Stream."

And for once even though he said something kind of dirty, he was actually referencing the name of a natural phenomenon from his own world.
