(no subject)
Character(s): Quistis Trepe, Squall Leonhart
Location: Squall's room
Rating: G
Open/Closed/Finished: Finished.
Summary: Quistis goes to inform Squall about the six cadets who broke curfew, and to talk about Terra as well as Hope. (Backdated to after this.)
Quistis was well aware of what the of the night -- or rather, morning -- it was. However, the knowledge didn't stop the blond from boarding the elevator and pressing the button to the third floor, as the matter she had to discuss with the Commander was far too pressing to wait for the morning; after all, six cadets had broken curfew and ventured of to the Fire Cavern, of all places. Not only that, but the matter of what she had witnessed with Terra had to be discussed, as well as her tutoring session with Hope, a topic which had yet to be touched upon since their run in at the Training Center.
Still dressed in her Garden issued sweats and tank top with the track jacket long disrobed due to the uncomfortable heat of the Fire Cavern, Quistis draped the piece of outerwear over her arm just as the elevator gave a light 'ding' to signal it's arrival to the third floor. The doors slid open just in time for the SeeD to spot the Commander emerging from his office, and she wasted no time in drawing his attention.
"Squall, I need to talk to you."

"Squall, I need to talk to you."

And it didn't escape him how irritated she looked.
"This can't wait until morning..?" He began to move for his dorm near the far end of the hall, knowing she'd follow if she needed to talk to him that bad.
no subject
"No, this can't wait. I wouldn't bother you at this hour if it weren't an emergency." There was no use hiding the slight exasperation in her tone-- the incident at the Fire Cavern was rather distressing, after all, and she also couldn't help but feel a bit insulted that he would think she would approach him about a trivial matter so late at night.
Crossing her arms, Quistis watched as he moved to swipe his key card to open the door before she spoke. "Six cadets broke curfew tonight. They went to the Fire Cavern."

She was right and he hated it whenever she was right. This couldn't wait until morning. This had to be discussed now.
Squall turned to face her, shrugging out of his commander's jacket, dressed down in just a white tank-top and his pants. "Talk," he told her, draping the jacket over a chair. "When?"
no subject
The soft noise of fabric hitting the chair shifted her attention away, and immediately she turned to face Squall. At his order to speak, Quistis lifted a hand to tuck her bangs behind her ear before she began.
"About an hour ago. I just came back from escorting them from the Fire Cavern. They all were following Cadet Bradford, who seemed to be the first person to break the curfew-- they were worried for her safety as she seemed rather frantic."
no subject
"And her reasoning for going to the Fire Cavern in the first place was?"
no subject
"When we found her, she was... wild, for a lack of better term. I watched her transform, right in front of me-- she didn't seem human. She kept saying something about hearing voices calling her, which I assume is why she was drawn to the Cavern. Shiva and Leviathan were uncontrollable in my head when it happened; I think they were trying to summon themselves. Cadet Bradford said she could hear the junctions in my head."
In fact, the headache induced by the distressed GFs was only just now settling. She raised a hand to rub at her temple, both in thought and in an effort to soothe the dull pounding which was slowly subsiding.

Squall moved towards the bathroom and dug around the medicine cabinet. He returned with a bottle and a glass of water, setting it on the table next to her.
"What exactly did she change into?
no subject
Her fingers idly traced the rim of the glass of water was she spoke, and once she finished she took a sip, the bottle of medicine left untouched.

"We'll speak with her in the morning," he finally spoke up, head lowering. Unfolding his arms he went to the table slid the folder to her. He trusted her enough to show her any confidential documents. "Her file. Looks like we'll be adding to it."
no subject
"We need to talk about Hope as well. He shouldn't have been able to cast those kinds of spells."
no subject
His gaze met hers and held it for a few moments.
"Since the Headmaster probably doesn't know about those six, we'll speak with him tomorrow on the matter during first or second period." The sentence trailed off and Squall seemed to hesitate before saying, "..You should probably get some rest."
no subject
Squall's last comment caught her by surprise, and her eyes briefly flickered upwards to catch his gaze. Quistis held it for a moment, and finally gave a small nod before rising from her chair. "You're right-- it's been a long night. Sorry to have kept you up, Squall."
no subject
"..And thanks for bringing the incident to my attention." He moved back to the table, half wondering if he should walk her to the door or let her show herself out. Even if he had a feeling she would hold her chin up and leave on her own.
no subject
She had turned around to step through the opening once the door slip open when she suddenly remembered something. There was a pause as she straightened her posture, and without turning around fully Quistis glanced over her shoulder to speak back to Squall.
"I'm sorry if that story in the gossip column caused any problems for you." It wasn't really her place to apologize for the rumor as she didn't start it-- but still,s he felt compelled to make some sort of apology. Without another word, she continued to make her way out, the door making a soft "whirr" sound as it slid shut behind her.
