(no subject)

Character(s): Quistis Trepe, Squall Leonhart
Location: Squall's room
Rating: G
Open/Closed/Finished: Finished.
Summary: Quistis goes to inform Squall about the six cadets who broke curfew, and to talk about Terra as well as Hope. (Backdated to after this.)

Quistis was well aware of what the of the night -- or rather, morning -- it was. However, the knowledge didn't stop the blond from boarding the elevator and pressing the button to the third floor, as the matter she had to discuss with the Commander was far too pressing to wait for the morning; after all, six cadets had broken curfew and ventured of to the Fire Cavern, of all places. Not only that, but the matter of what she had witnessed with Terra had to be discussed, as well as her tutoring session with Hope, a topic which had yet to be touched upon since their run in at the Training Center.

Still dressed in her Garden issued sweats and tank top with the track jacket long disrobed due to the uncomfortable heat of the Fire Cavern, Quistis draped the piece of outerwear over her arm just as the elevator gave a light 'ding' to signal it's arrival to the third floor. The doors slid open just in time for the SeeD to spot the Commander emerging from his office, and she wasted no time in drawing his attention.

"Squall, I need to talk to you."

Squall stopped just outside the door, a folder in hand. He looked towards her as she approached him, taking a mental notice of her clothing and state. Skin glistening with sweat, the beads along her brow and forehead, the dark smudges marring the white of her top and various parts of her shoulders and arms. Even the jacket over her arm was dirty.

And it didn't escape him how irritated she looked.

"This can't wait until morning..?" He began to move for his dorm near the far end of the hall, knowing she'd follow if she needed to talk to him that bad.

The door opened, air hissing softly. But Squall never entered. Another hiss of air and the door closed. "...Six?" He swiped his key card once again and entered, tossing the folder onto the table in passing.

She was right and he hated it whenever she was right. This couldn't wait until morning. This had to be discussed now.

Squall turned to face her, shrugging out of his commander's jacket, dressed down in just a white tank-top and his pants. "Talk," he told her, draping the jacket over a chair. "When?"

Gray-blue eyes narrowed at that last word. "Frantic how?" This was not something he needed to hear before bed.

"And her reasoning for going to the Fire Cavern in the first place was?"

"Shiva and Leviathan became hostile towards Cadet Bradford?" Came the slowly spoken question as he watched her touch her fingers to her temple.

Squall moved towards the bathroom and dug around the medicine cabinet. He returned with a bottle and a glass of water, setting it on the table next to her.

"What exactly did she change into?

Squall watched her as she drank the water and then averted his gaze in thought. Saying nothing on the matter he moved to stand at the window, arms folding over his chest. He stared out into the darkness and then up at the stars.

"We'll speak with her in the morning," he finally spoke up, head lowering. Unfolding his arms he went to the table slid the folder to her. He trusted her enough to show her any confidential documents. "Her file. Looks like we'll be adding to it."

"It's probably better to keep a close eye on him, you're right," Squall agreed, nodding once. "But he's... a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. He won't do anything stupid."

His gaze met hers and held it for a few moments.

"Since the Headmaster probably doesn't know about those six, we'll speak with him tomorrow on the matter during first or second period." The sentence trailed off and Squall seemed to hesitate before saying, "..You should probably get some rest."

Squall watched her stand. He moved to grab up the glass, returning it to the counter next to the restroom. "As their Commanding Officer-- their safety and well-being is my main priority." That was his way of nicely saying 'save your apologies'.

"..And thanks for bringing the incident to my attention." He moved back to the table, half wondering if he should walk her to the door or let her show herself out. Even if he had a feeling she would hold her chin up and leave on her own.
