It hides his roots. He actually went grey at fifteen.

He shrugs the coat off, snagging its collar by one hand and offering it to her. He didn't bother (or didn't think) to disable the AMP tech embedded in it, though. Hopefully the surge of strength and resilience it gives the wearer won't do anything odd to the little Pulse girl.
