Those cats were in fact trying to get all over Damian like they wanted a piece of him. They didn't care who he was, or what; they were just naturally drawn to him, giving out loud and quiet mews and meows, nudging him anywhere they could with their heads. They were affectionate, probably the first time ever to a complete stranger. It was too bad their owner was a light sleeper, awake within minutes of Damian's arrival and twisting around in his bed to see what the hell they were making so much noise over.
"--what?" Who could it be?
It wouldn't be Katara, she would have let him know ahead of time if she was coming to his dorm.
Seeing the shadowed figure had him tensing and then immediately sitting up, a ball of fire igniting in the palm of his hand to give him some decent bit of lighting to see exactly who the trespasser was.
And yet ... the cats continued with their sounds of affection, purring and still nudging at the hooded figure.
