The "Date".

Character(s): [livejournal.com profile] theshortestbird & [livejournal.com profile] ohsoschway
Location: Lobby, then Town.
Rating: PG
Open/Closed/Finished: CLOSED. FINISHED.
Summary: Going through with the plans for their so called "date" from the Dating Auction.

Max leaned against a wall in the front lobby, awaiting sign of her so called "date" for the evening. She hadn't of intended to bid on anyone at the auction, just be around and gather any information if something stuck out (it was a habit now, more than anything), but then Tim appeared on stage. It was very uncharacteristic of how he seemed, even in her time, and the entire stance he held during most of the announcements seemed to just further prove that he didn't want to be there. She highly doubted he had signed up himself, so she raised her hand and put forth her bid to help him out.

And then someone else bid.

So, Max bid again.

And again. And again. And again. Until she won.

She had tried to tell him that he didn't have to go through with it, but if there was one thing she was certain Tim had inherited by being part of the Bat-fam it was an underlying stubbornness. They had gone back and forth on it for a short time, before his mention of tech had cut off her attempts at protest. She really hadn't been to town yet and the idea of seeing more of this world's technology was pretty schway. So, agreeing to meet at five, she found a map of the town, scanned it into her nano-tab and finished up whatever homework she had due for the week before heading downstairs to wait.

Which was where Max found herself now, outfitted in civies with gil and miscellaneous neobat-tech stashed on her person, her nano-tab in it's case at her waist. Just because she didn't wear the cowl, didn't mean she wasn't prepared. She did love her tech, after all.
