[Cid is alone in his office again, reviewing paperwork, schedules and disciplinary complaints. It's busywork, but he's happy to keep his mind off heavier matters.

He's shuffling through a stack of papers when a member of the faculty glides over to inform him of his upcoming appointment with a new cadet. He nods, agreeing to see him now. The faculty leaves the office to call Soma in.]

[The second that his name is called, Soma is up on his feet. He counts to five, tries to get his rebellious nerves back under control and swallows around the tight, troublesome knot in his throat, his fingers reaching up to brush over his Adam's apple lightly.

He enters the office cautiously, slightly scared of what the headmaster will think of him after this. Being so used to Japanese customs, he gives the headmaster a slight bow in greeting.]
