Mikuru's reply was a little distant as she fumbled with her new Junction device. This may have been the millionth time she was checking her spell stock (thank goodness she'd taken Advanced Recovery Magic) and her junctioning (biased towards Vitality, Evasion, and HP); she wasn't counting - and nor did she feel like it was enough. She didn't look forward to the challenge, and would have really preferred to spend her break reviewing the ESL curriculum she'd be teaching next quarter rather than repeatedly getting beaten up and recovering from it. (Had she really passed her instructor's license test first try? She couldn't quite believe it.)
