Shopping & Chat Chitting [CLOSED] Backdated Aug 13th

Characters: Grell & Ace, then Grell & Thatch
Location: A clothes shop out in town, then Thatch's office.
Rating: PG13 just to be safe. Other warnings will be inside.
Open/Closed/Finished: Closed
Summary: The captain can't do everything and be everywhere all the time. Backdated to before the virus was sent out.

"No not really." He met her gaze as she peeked in. "If you want me to try it on, you'll have to come in here."

Grell did as such, making sure the curtain hid them both. "It was Thatchy~!" She picked up the dress, imagining it on Ace, even with his broad form.

"Thatch wanted to see me....in a dress? Okay." He sighed and slipped the jean shorts off, leaving him in a pair of boxers and slipped the dress over his head, working it down so it hung about mid thigh. He was naturally hairless on his chest, and the soft down on his arms and legs was so fine that he might as well have been hairless too. He glanced in the mirror with an appraising eye, looking this way and that.

"I don't know Grell...this is weird."

Grell watched as Ace tried on the dress, thankful that he finally had boxers. The dress fit well enough, for his body size. She gently turned him towards a mirror so they could both see his reflection.

"Maybe imagining him running a hand up here would help change your mind~?" She walked her fingers up his leg, over the fabric, stopping at his hip, before giggling. "Of course, it's your choice, in the end."

Ace couldn't suppress that shiver that ran through him at Grell's touch. He smirked at her through the mirror and reached down gripping her hand in his own.

"That's unnecessary, especially when you're so fine looking. I'll get it, only because the look on your face says it's sexy." He said as he reached to take the dress off. "I think this is enough stuff, should we pay and head back?" Unless Grell wanted to get him some sexy underwear without him knowing about it.

Grell did a small jump and gave her signature hand sign.

"Mission accomplished!"

What did he mean by 'enough stuff'? "Ace, dear, we haven't even gotten you shoes! This is only half of our trip!"

Ace gave a shudder and put back on the pants he was wearing before. Though he kept the boxers on and gave Grell the tag so they could be rung up too. "Shoes? But just a pair of boots would be fine."

She gave him a look that left not much room for argument.

"I don't remember asking your permission."

Best not to stand in the way of shopping. She took the price tag, though.

"Yes Ma'am." He said with a wide eyed look. Something told him not to cross her so he thought it best to just suck it up and deal with it for the moment.

Grell smiled again, poking his nose lightly. "We'll only go to one more store! Promise~!"

"Alright. Well lets pay for this lot. I'll carry the bags darling." He smiled as they gathered his clothes and headed to the counter. He had six pairs of pants and shorts, socks, boxers, and 5 shirts. Oh and one red dress.

Once Grell paid for everything and Ace took the bags and waited for the red head so they could leave.

Grell paid for the items with the account from Thatch, taking the receipt and leaving with Ace. Ah, it felt nice shopping and not carrying the burden of your success.

"Lets go this way~" She tugged him towards the left, a shoe store they passed by on the way here. Clothing had to come first, then get shoes to go with the new clothing. "I think there's a sale going on!"

"Grell, I really don't need a lot of shoes." He said, sweatdropping just a bit at her enthusiasm. If he was lucky, maybe she would spend more time shopping for herself.

"Oh, I'm aware! You need to pick just one pair!" Grell grinned, leaving out the part that they have to meet her approval.

Ace set the bags down near the chairs, making sure to keep an eye on them even as he looked through the section of male shoes. Finally he found a pair of boots that looked like the ones he had at home. "Well, Grell. Do these pass the test?"

Grell had been doing her own looking around, poking some shoes because...what are they? She had seen them around but only now really got to see them up close. Ace coming at her with some boots caught her attention.

"Those are rather nice! Have you tried them on?"

"Oh, no...I figured I would clear it with you before I did that part...just in case they didn't pass?" He said with a grin. "I'll do that now." He said moving to a sales person and having them retrieve his size from the back store room. He tried them on when the salesman returned and they fit perfectly.

"They fit." He said as he put his other shoes back on. "You should get the red ones, they look comfy."

The boots looked just right on his feet, getting a nod of approval from her. "Then they will do."

As for the sneakers, she looked back to them. "I would but...what are they?" She did pick them up, feeling how light they are. Grell looked pretty skeptical.

"Sneakers. They're really comfortable. You would like them. Try them on if you want too." Ace said as he put his old shoes back on and set his aside so they could pay for them later.

"Sneakers..." She looked at the pair and sat down, ready to try them on after finding her size. Once she slipped on one shoe, she could see why they were comfy. So much unlike any other shoe she had.

"What purpose do they have?"

"They're just a comfy shoe. That's their only purpose." Ace explained as h watched her try them on.

She shrugged and took the shoe off, taking up the other one. "I'll get these, but I think I'll use my own gil." This shopping trip was for Ace, after all. "Ready, dear?"

"Yeah, let's head back" Ace smiled as he headed to the counter to pay for his shoes. Once everything was all paid for he picked up all the bags and once again offered his arm to Grell.

Ah, this was the best shopping trip yet! Grell looped her arm with his. "I haven't had this much fun shopping in ages~!"

"Ah, I'm glad you had fun. Thanks for your help." He said with a wide smile. He was glad she had been willing to help him. It made this endeavor much easier to handle.
