Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

"Well yeah, but I mean what kin-" ah well, she would find out in a minute, right?

"All right RD, pick a song!"

Fionna sighed. "Man. We could have had a class together. Dang."

She looked at her schedule. "Tuesday and Thursday, middle of the day."

Fionna made a face. "Yeah, bump that. I'm not here to get all touchy feely! Why don't we go get some punch or something?"

"Magazines an' books, huh? What kinds a books?" They had made it up to the front of the room, where the music system was set up. Namur pushed the chair over for Maria, and hunkered down in front of the system himself.

"Boombox ain't anythin' special. Got two decks t' work with 'stead a jus' one so all y' got t' do is make sure t' push pause on the one that ain't playin', else y'll get two songs playin' over top each other an' it takes a lot a talent I ain't got t' make that kind a shit sound good. Sheheheh!"

"That was really in depth....and actually sounds really awesome. I'd like to see one eventually. I don't typically use weapons...but doesn't mean I'm not interested. Would you show me sometime?" Ace asked, grinning and legitimately interested in knowing more about it.

"Thanks, and that's good punch." Ace grinned watching as she took a long drink. "Woah, you alright? I guess you didn't know someone spiked it."

"Actually, I was there when they were pouring it in," Fionna admitted, laughing. "I guess I just forgot!"

Ace just shook his head and laughed. This girl was something else. She seemed like someone his little brother Luffy would want in his crew.

"So Fionna, you're a cadet..what year?"

[fionna_time]

Fionna took a drink, then gave a loud burp, laughing.

"Third trimester! This'll prolly be the last time I can get down and party like this in a bit, actually."

"Oh... that doesn't mean we can't study together."

Kory leaned over to look, peering at Fionna's schedule. "We have the same physics class!" Okay, that made it better.

"Oh good!" Fionna exclaimed. "I need a new study buddy anyway."

At this, Fionna brightened immediately! "Awesome, because I think that will be my worse class!"

"We can study whatever classes we can. I've taken most of them at this point, at least the mandatory ones."

"Well, it's going to be that much better now!" Kory grinned. She liked the classes but anything with math made it hard for her. Having a friend in the class would at least make it more exciting to go to.

[mera_mera_ace]

"Cant have fun when you're in classes? That sounds really really dull." Ace said as he took another long drink from his cup before refilling it.

[fionna_time]

Fionna shook her head. "Not me. I've been kinda draggin my feet because I wanted to take my electives and get my major done. And I'm TOTES gonna have plenty of training this trimester!"

She was grinning. "Good! Because the only way I got through remedial math was with my roomie's help, and she's gone now."

Less grinning now.

[fionna_time]

"Well, some of them. Like, how are you gonna have fun in physics class, with all that butt math? I'm real lucky I'm taking it with a friend. And I have Slughorn again, so who knows what that'll be like?"

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! I'd be happy to help you as much as I can. I took remedial math too so I know what that is like. I had to get help to get through it."

She smiled. "Let's not talk about classes now. We are at a party! We should be having fun!"

She didn't want her to be sad tonight.

"Really? Who helped you?"

Oh good, distraction. Fionna is distracted so very easily too.

"Yeah, we should! What do you wanna do?"

"Marco. He's a good teacher."

She thought about that for a moment, looking around. What did she want to do?

"Well, I haven't gotten a snack yet. Maybe you can show me what they have?"

Kory had wandered outside for herself. She wanted to look at the scenery. They were going to be leaving soon after all. As she walked outside, she noticed someone else out there and walked over.

"Hello, Thatch. Are you alright?"

[fionna_time]

"Marco? Isn't he part of the pirate crew?"

She nodded. "Yeah! They've got a lot really good refreshments, some crunchy kinda stuff...oh, and punch!"

"He is. He's told me all about it. Their ship sounds amazing."

"Crunchy stuff?" Well, that could have been a lot of things. "What was your favorite?"

Fionna nodded, pointing to a snack that looked a lot like a pate. "That! I have no idea what its called though."

She smiled. "Yeah, I hear stuff mostly from Thatch or Namur. They're pretty cool when they're not reminding you how young you are."

Kory decided she was going to try it then. She moved closer to the table to get a plate so she could dish up some of the pate and get some crackers to try it on.

"Oh is that so? I've spoken with Thatch before. He's very nice. I haven't really had much chance to speak with Namur yet."

"Don't forget the punch!" Fionna said, handing her some.

She smiled. "He's a grumpy fish, but he's cool."

"Oh, thank you." She took the offered punch with a smile, taking a sip of the punch before trying the pate.

"I think that's what Thatch told me too. So I guess it must be true."
