Goodbye Dollet and Thanks for All the Fish! (backdated to Sept 28)

Summary: It's an excuse to pump dance music really really loudly, tbh.

The party was put together ridiculously fast, but everyone who decided to help went all out, and the place is pretty damn awesome. There are refreshments, strobe lights, a loudass music setup, and lots of space to dance. Come on in and have a blast! Garden will be sailing off in the morning, and then it's back to school. Time to get in that last hurrah!

"Here or at home. Here all of the cadets have to learn it at some point so it seems more if they have taken the class. It is easier to actually do this, but I don't think people would want to learn it the exact moment you needed it."

"I saw briefly." She's been running around all evening.

"Yeah, I don't really get why you have to take this as a requirement," Fionna said, shaking her head. "I mean, we just dance, shouldn't that just be an elective or something?"

She frowned. "Darn. Oh well, I'll show you later!"

"I don't know. It seems to be a very sophisticated way of thinking, having dances and having to know exactly how to dance. I haven't really seen a reason to need it yet."

"I'm sorry I didn't see it earlier. But yes, I would like to see it later." She smiled brightly.

Fionna sniffed. "That's not really my forte. Is it yours? I'm more the kinda girl getting my hands dirty, and if I'm gonna go some place for a dance, you know, I'm gonna DANCE, where you move around a lot!"

She nodded eagerly. "Sure! But I guess I should learn how to do this right now."

"Well, sort of. I mean if I were back home I'd have to know these things but I hadn't really learned any of them before I had to leave. My friends tried teaching me so dances, but they weren't like this at all."

She chuckled. "Well, whenever you are ready show me, I'd like to learn."

"No kidding! So if these aren't the types of dances you do, how do you dance where you're from?"

She nodded. "First, ball room dancing, and then I will show you how I get down!"

"Well, the ones my friends taught me, they were faster and a lot more moving. The music was usually more interesting too. Ballroom dancing music isn't too terribly exciting."

"Yes, I look forward to that!" She wanted to learn as many types of dances as possible. That was the good thing about this place. She got the chance to learn so much.

"Boy, you're telling me! This kinda music puts me to sleep. It's way better if you're all romantical and all, but if you're not, its kind of a drag. I like to dance more freestyle!"

"It is. I admit."

Kory stepped back to watch the dance. Well, it certainly wasn't anything she had seen before, but it was interesting.

"That was definitely not one that my friends knew about."

Fionna laughed. "Kinda in your face, huh? I just wanted to mess around a bit! Plus, people kinda say I got a big caboose, might as well do somethin' with it. I learned it here though."

"That dancing style is definitely more attention grabbing. But if you are having fun with it, then that's what is important."

Kory wasn't sure if that was a style that interested her, but it did look like fun at least.

"Someone here showed it to you?"

"I am!" Fionna said, winking. "You get to do flips and move around and its pretty fun!"

She chuckled. "Nah, I looked it up! I'll probably only show it to you too-I have no idea what the bros would say if I danced like that! Though it would be funny to see Namur choke."

"Oh that does sound like fun!" She was athletic enough to do it. Maybe this dance style would work for her more than she thought it would.

"I'd like to see more of it. I wonder what they would think." She chuckled.

"I know, right? All those spins and moving of parts of your body independent from the other? It's hard work!"

She giggled. "You want to see more of it? We have to get the right song."

"I definitely want to try this! I'm sure I could that."

"We do. This music right now doesn't seem to work. We could always do it at a later date... if you don't want your friends to know." She had no problem with waiting a bit longer.

She nodded eagerly.

"I would probably not mind doing that with someone else! Like, the worse that could happen would be the dudes drooling and someone gossiping in that rag."

She chuckled. She didn't necessarily care about what that gossip column said. It was just silly.

"Yes, I think that would be the worst of it and I could live with that."

Fionna beamed.

"I'm glad you said that! Now I won't even feel weird about it!"

"No need to feel weird about it," she said with a smile. "You're enjoying it and it looks like fun."

"Maybe we could come up with a time when you can show me more? Before we let others see?"

She had a point. After all, she had danced against Namur and everyone just Ooed and aahed anyway.

"Yeah, when we have free time! Well, assuming I don't have to stay after class or something."

She nodded. "Same for me. We can probably have some time on the weekend to work on it if we can't find any other time."

"Sure! I mean, we're gonna be cramming like crazy I bet, but there's gonna be times we're not! Besides, a lot of my stuff is fighting, how much practice for that can you need?"

"Yeah, we are. They give us a lot of work sometimes. I guess it depends on if the classes line up to do that. Most of mine aren't fighting, but they do require physical work. So I don't know how much I'm going to need to do for that."

"True. Hey, I never got to ask, what other classes are you gonna be taking this trimester? I know we said taht we weren't gonna talk about it, but now I'm curious."

"Oh, I'm taking survival skills, language, defensive driving, self defense, physics, criminal justice, sociology, advanced weapons training, item crafting, theater and art, rock climbing, and studio art."

Quite a mix she has going.
