Despite everything that had been going on, a party was needed and so a party was had. Thatch finished placing the last of the presents on the table, similar to the one they'd used for Namur's party, and turned up the music so as to lure any passersby. The more the merrier, since Ace would like that and who knew how many parties they'd be able to do in the future? And with who?

Thatch requested something that could be set on fire. Espio has provided, although he has had to bring his little camping stove along. In retrospect, he figured he should have thought it through first.

He wasn't going to serve it just yet though. Serving this thing was for after everyone had eaten most of everything else. Instead, he poked at the other things available to eat.

"...is... is this a dried scorpion...?"

"Yeah! Cool huh!" Ace said as he flitted over to the chameleon. He had traded in his cowboy hat for a party hat instead and was all smiles and giggles. Clearly he had already been into the rum. He also neglected to mention that the scorpions were for a dare. He's playful right now and wanted to see if Espio would eat it without prompting.

"Even though I'm the only person here who eats this kind of thing?" Espio wondered, confused, as he picked it up. The idea of it being for a dare didn't even cross his mind. "Or at least I think I'm the only one. Where did Thatch even find this, anyway?"

Of course he ate it, without the slightest hint of reservation. Well, he wasn't going to waste a perfectly good crunchy bug-like thing, was he?

What did they think was going to happen? You put out a dance floor and music, Fionna's going to dance. Expect much shaking and stirring, even if it is by herself, Fionna is moving all over.

These were likely the sounds one hears when Fionna sees a free pile of food. She was die hard about eating, on par (almost) with some of her pirate family, and is more than happy to even chomp on a scorpion or two.

It needed salt.

One thing Namur couldn't resist was a good beat. Made better when there was a cute girl going along with it. He joined right in, his usual dance style something the denizens of Garden ought to be somewhat used to by now.

Likewise, the aspiring SEED candidate is more than happy to have her usual dance partner on the floor with her. It was one thing to be by yourself, it was on another to be with your family/teacher/love interest.

"I'm about to make you work harder than ever dude!" Fionna warned.

"Let's see y' try, Smolt!" Namur smirked. If she thought he'd done anything but get better in his own way she was about to find herself dead wrong.

You were going to get an eyeful, Namur. Fionna has since learned how to shimmy better, and though she has no idea its called something else, can double down and work her booty pretty well. Turns out that having a little bit of extra weight when dancing was a good thing!

In any case, its clear Fionna's gotten better, can actually dance as if she's fighting and can make turns she never could before.

Namur blushed pretty deep and promptly ignored it, nudging Fionna off balance so she'd stop. "C'mon girl, that looks like yer tryin' t' take a shit an' can't get nothin' t' come out. Look, go with the music, move yer feet. Y' wanna show off the kind a control y' got do somethin' like this!"

He hopped back a couple times then sprang backwards, landing on his hands with his body perfectly straight, drops to his elbows then pops back up to his hands with the beat, spins on one hand, and hops back up, loosening his shoulders.

Fionna nudged him back. "Hey, just because you don't like how it looks doesn't mean its not hard to do! You still have to know how to pivot your muscles just right and how to move your legs! It's not my fault you gotta be all weird about it fish guy!"

Granted, a part of her is most definitely pleased as punch that she got Namur all bothered. That was a bonus.

"You think I can't?" You're in for a surprise Namur: over time, Fionna's balance has gotten excellent, flipping twice and then doing a split, then, with her legs alone, rising back up and falling into cartwheel.

"Alright then, remind me to not dare you to eat those later. Just out of curiosity, is there anything you wouldn't eat?" Ace asks as he moves over to eat one himself just to show he can and would.

"I don't like eggs," Espio said, with a shrug, but he tilted his head curiously. Dare? ...oh yes, humans and their aversion to 'creepy crawlies' as food. "Also, newsflash: I'm a chameleon. That is the kind of thing I'm designed to eat. Maybe not scorpions specifically, but..."
