Character(s): Celty Sturluson, Shinra Kishitani
Location: Celty's vacant dorm room.
Rating: PG-13
Open/Closed/Finished: Closed
Summary: Celty needs to have a chat with Shinra. Can has cuddly make up tiems?
Celty tugged Shinra close behind her all the way to her dorm room from the rather large mess that had been created in his room. She stopped before her door and produced her room key from the opposite cuff, trying the door for her first time here. She used the key, clicking the lock open with ease. She leaded forward, tugging on the door handle, pulling Shinra across the threshold and into her room, shutting the door behind them. She leaned against the shut door behind them, thinking for a moment before straightening up.
She flipped the cellphone out of her sleeve and began typing rapidly, looking up at him with slightly tensed shoulders. "Shinra, why did you do that?"

"Ah, I'm sorry about that, Celty," he offered apologetically, brushing the back of his free hand against the side of her visor. "I'll try to dial it back a notch, but ahhh... There's just so much to discover and learn here." He paused, giving her hand a squeeze.
"Don't worry, though. I won't forget about what's familiar."

At least before, they just kept him inside...She flicked the device up and tapped at the screen. "That's not the point. You know, maybe it was important to him." She shuddered for a moment. "Maybe a curse." Superstitious as always.
"You need to show some restraint."

And part of Shinra couldn't help wanting to know everything there was to know. Between his father, med school, his relationship with Celty and Yagiri Pharmaceuticals, he had become all too aware of how much what he didn't know could hurt him. As a doctor, knowledge was his only asset. Like Izaya, it was the only card he had to play. But he couldn't admit these things to Celty. He would just have to do his best to keep a low profile.
Dammit. Subtlety had never been a strong suit of his. Ah, well. The things he did for love.

"Some things in the world don't need to be known." She nodded resolutely, hands on her hips. Being a magical creature herself, she knew first hand how odd the mysteries of existence where, and while she had tried for a long while to solve them, recently she had found herself letting go. Little by little. That was not to say that if her head presented itself that she would reject it, but more so that she would wait for it to find its way to her instead.
"Not everyone is as patient as--" She paused and cleared the screen, realizing those were not the right words. "Not everyone is as understanding to your probing as Shizuo and I." Suddenly she felt an odd feeling in her core, missing her violent friend very much so. Though, not necessarily in his most violent form...

But now it seemed that things were going as well as they could be expected to, and Celty was warming up to the idea of a life with him instead of pursing her head more every day. Smiling at that thought, he moved up to her and wrapped his arms around her tightly, shutting his eyes to press his cheek against her shoulder.
"I'll try to be more careful," he promised, rubbing soothing circles into her back. Then he laughed quietly to himself, grinning at her. "...but hey, if that's the case maybe you should take off your shadows so I can occupy my time with you~"

His hands pulled her in, bringing their bodies close together. Shinra's was so warm while Celty's remained unchanged, always luke temperature wise. She could feel a certain nervousness in her body as smoke began puffing out of her neck as if working as a smoke stack for her emotions. She felt her hand move from her sides and upwards some, shyly moving to grip his back, stopping short, though, as he began talking. Instead she balled her right hand into a fist and punched him in the gut.
Stupid Shinra.

"Ahh, I'm sorry for getting carried away, Celty!" he apologized with a nervous laugh as he rubbed the sore spot left by the blow. "Don't worry. Just being with you makes me happy, so this is just fine! You're so lovely and soft to hold-- Ah~ Every man should be so lucky!"

Shinra sometimes said just the right thing to bring the rather easily embarrassed fairy back to him. Finding no need for words, she gave in, reaching forward and pulling him back into a hug with her, the smoke from her neck controlled but thick as it drifted past his head. Her hand gripped his back comfortably, quietly enjoying the feel of him.
... Stupid Shinra.

And if she didn't, well.
He could stand here all night, as long as she wanted to stand here too.

"Let's go to bed..."
She took his hand gingerly, waiting for him to take over from here.

He flushed very faintly as well, giving her hand a squeeze as he led her into her bedroom and shut that door too, just for good measure. Then he plopped himself down on the bed, patting the space next to him before tugging her down. He still felt butterflies in his stomach when he was with her, and he couldn't be convinced that there was any greater beauty in the world than what was beside him right now.
"...are you sure you don't want to go to sleep, Celty?"

She leaned in, their shoulders touching gently as she nodded to him, positive she wanted more right now than to go to sleep as the smoke continued to churn out of her. She moved her idle hand to her chest, tugging the zipper on her body suit down to her cleavage, leaving it there for him to finish. Despite being able to remove the suit in a flash, sometimes playing games like this was what made their romantic life more interesting. As if it needed anything else to spice it up.
"I am sure."
She was confident in this. Being in this new world was stressful and raised all sorts of doubts about where her life was heading. However, there was one thing she didn't doubt: Shinra's love for her. She knew she was number one on his list, and had been for the longest time-- probably since the day they first met, she figured. And, though saying it embarrassed her, she loved him, too, and wanted to see him happy. This was just one way she showed her love for him. So why wouldn't she want to be one with him? Share in heart and mind for a few moments of bliss...

He chased his thoughts away, because now was not the time for thinking. He put his hands on her instead, lowering her down against the bed. His heart was pounding just to see her tugging on the zipper of her bodysuit.
"I love you, Celty," he whispered before he pressed a kiss against the exposed skin just below her neck.
After that, there wasn't much in the way of words for the remainder of the night.
