Let's All Go To The Movies
Who: Marco and Grell and anyone else who wants to join in/have a separate thread.
Where: In town, because Marco and Grell can both cheat to get there quickly and back XD
What: Watching a chocobo "movie" (or whatever you want to call it.) They might settle for a play, or races
Why: Because Marco's got nightmares and Grell is crazy.
Rating: Spoiler warnings for Marco just because, PROBABLY PG-13, I'll move up if something happens. (It's Grell and a pirate.)
OPEN! Just pop in and bring your own popcorn. Or steal some of Marco's. Whichever.
Really, to be fair, Marco didn't give a damn what Grell wore. He was a pirate after all. Half of the time, he just looked for excuses around campus to undo the buttons on his own shirt. And whether Grell was in the mood for skirts, pants, or a dress, it still didn't faze Marco. It was still going to be Grell underneath it all. The same cute red-head who'd just abruptly tried to kill him moments earlier and then in true kitten fashion was back to purring happily. Ah, romance on the high seas. Or the Garden. Whichever. "You ready?" the blond pirate asked hopefully for the tenth time.

"This is a lot better than hanging from a tail," Grell gave a light laugh as he turned his focus to the stars. The flames surrounding him were as warm as he remembered, which was a welcomed sensation as the air where he was got nippy.

The gentle air ran itself through his hair, humming in content. Never would he have thought he'd ride a phoenix. He idly ran his hands through the blue flames, taking in what he saw. "I see why you would fly around often. It's simply breathtaking here." Looks to his firebird with a curious smile. "Does anyone else know about your night flights?

"Croo," he nodded his head on the long, almost girly neck, slightly before tilting it to the side.. Only Ace might have really suspected. Leanne might know about it, she at least was the only other person to know about his other form.

If only he had a camera, he could take photographic memories of this. He's have to settle for jotting down all these details into his diary later.
"It must be nice being up here often--" A gust of wind made his dress flutter up slightly, showing off too much leg for this ride before planting it down again with a huff. "Only in pants though.."

He sped up the flight a little, just to irk Grell making it harder to keep the dress completely down.

"H-Hey! Why are we going so fast?" It was hard to hold on and keep the dress down!

The waters weren't completely still, but a reflection could be seen on it. Clear enough for Grell to realize his hair was a bit tousled. As he fixed the tangles with combing his fingers through is hair, he got to see the blue phoenix a bit better. The stars could also be seen behind them. It was a majestic sight.
"Can you fly all night?"

What should he do?
In his moment of warring with his mind, he felt that jerk again as they sped up, and...felt some rain? But the sky was clear. Grell looked over and tried to get a peek of the phoenix but it was difficult to do. Could that have been...
Grell wrapped both arms around the neck, those flames flickering against his face. He wasn't sure what to do at this point. Maybe when they were on the ground, and using the same language...

Grell landed gracefully on the rooftop, seeing Marco transform back to himself, his face as stoic as ever. '...he seems fine...' Grell wasn't one for giving out therapy, and Marco seemed as if the issue was his alone, so he left it for another time.
"Of course not, but..." Green eyes turned to those stars that seemed so far away now, reaching a hand up as if trying to touch them. "It won't be as beautiful from so far."

Grell looked to the other before sighing softly with a wry smile. "You're okay, right?"
no subject
"Fine," he lied dryly, ignoring the dark nightmares and recurring nightly reminder he couldn't talk to Thatch or see Pops ever again. He turned to face Grell. "You?" It was so much easier to just worry about everyone else.

Grell did raise an eyebrow about hearing about the deaths of Marco's friends. "Death isn't the final stage for people. It opens new doors. But I completely agree on avenging them." Just thinking about bathing the scene crimson made him bouncy. "What's a little more blood shed for the sake of friendship?"
