Hide and Go Seek

Who: YOU! And everyone/anyone
Where: All of Balamb Garden, including the rooftops. Off-limit places will on this rare occasion get you in trouble with Marco/Disciplinary Committee however.
What: Hide and Go Seek MASSIVE game.
Rating: Try to keep it PG-13. There's little kids running around :O Even if Grell and Marco are involved. -_-' (Okay no really, I don't care, go wild. XD But I hold no responsibility if the characters get caught/spotted making out~ or more~ by someone XD)
When: August 15th (yes I'm late)

Marco in collaboration has set up various ~prizes~ for winners. Each round is split up into hiders and seekers. The first five people found then become seekers with the main seeker, and the last person found becomes the main seeker next round and wins a prize. There's also a grand prize of a limited ~WISH~ for finding "The Golden Goose" who is of course Marco. Grell can't win this prize because he already has it. The wish is limited to anything Marco can feasibly fulfill which can involve helping someone deal with a person/friend/enemy, getting a date, going flying (on a phoenix VERY limited special offer!), learning to talk to birds (only one or two free lessons) or a limited item under $50 worth (because he's still a student after all.)

Other prizes are:
A bottle of rum
A schedule planner (color: blue of course)
A red collar
A book on _____ (mun's choice depending who wins)
Some packs of Triple Triad cards

-- one for each round. They're won ICly based on playing and if more prizes need to be added, I'll talk to various muns about their characters being asked to submit something. Have fun, go wild. I'm not saying where Marco is because you have to guess (ICly no less :O)

Luki may not have been anything special academically, but her hunting skills had been finely honed as a result of years of playing "games". She hadn't seen Marco's other form yet, but she looked delighted nonetheless when she saw the large blue bird.

She thought about saying something out loud, but that might clue people who were hiding into where she was, so she settled for waving.

Woops. Too careless. Marco stared back waiting for Luki to get a hint and then strutted off to the side to see if she's follow.

Luki didn't have any leads at the moment, so she opted to follow the bird for a moment. Besides, maybe some of the people in hiding would get careless if they thought she was distracted. That was part of playing hide and go seek well - tricking people into feeling like they were better hidden than they really were.

He hopped about and hid behind a tree, peeking a head around the corner and whistling.

Was Mister Bird playing, too? Luki smiled cheerfully at that thought before approaching the bird and finally whispering to him (she assumed it was a he-bird). "You have to stay quiet if you don't want anyone to find you," came the whispered suggestion.

Marco chirped anyway. No point in never being found after all. What was the fun in that?

He tilted his head again and stepped off to the side waiting to see if Luki would follow.

Luki followed the blue bird. She didn't have any leads for the moment, so she decided to see if she could get the bird to come and sit on her arm. She dug into her pockets and managed to pull out a couple of cookies she'd snuck out of the cafeteria.

"Want one, Mister Bird?" she asked quietly - animals spooked easily after all. "They're yummy, and I'll share if you're nice."

Maybe she could even trick people into revealing their position if the big blue bird was sitting on her arm!

That would be a neat trick indeed given that he was the size of a full grown human man, technically even a little bigger. Marco chirped and inched closer even though he had no intentions of eating something that had been in someone's pocket. He was a finicky bluebird really.

(ooc: OOPS. I did not realize he was that big in that form. XD Uh. We can just think of this as Luki being Luki.)

Luki held out one of the cookies out as an offering to the bird while eating the other one. She didn't know if the bird could understand her or not, so perhaps seeing that the cookies were meant to be eaten would help.

"See? Delicious!"

Marco chirped at her and nudged the hand for her to keep eating them. He really wasn't going to eat the cookies. Even to reassure the kid he wasn't an enemy. Besides, she seemed to be doing that herself, so he wasn't so concerned about it.

Luki was surprised that the bird didn't want to eat the cookies...maybe he only ate seeds, or maybe he just didn't like sweets. After the bird didn't take any of the cookie pieces from her hand, she ate the rest. There was no sense in letting something delicious go to waste.

"Do you want me to find you some seeds to eat after the game is over, Mister Bird?"

As sweet as the offer was, Marco shook his head. He really wasn't hungry. Instead, he nudged her hand again, hoping to continue the game.

The bird understood her! He answered no! Luki was momentarily amazed before she tried to guess what the bird was nudging her for.

"Huh? What is it, Mister Bird?"

Marco hopped back, then a little further, trying to get Luki to follow him. He chirped and whistled to get her attention when he occasionally thought she'd lost sight.

For the moment, Luki followed the large blue bird. She wanted to get back to the game, but the bird seemed so intent on having her follow that she couldn't help but be curious. Maybe it was a special quest like in a storybook and he was a magic bird that needed some help! Either way, Luki continued after the bird.

No longer whistling and being very quiet, Marco led her over to one of the hidden people with a sneaky gesture before flying up into hiding himself.

Luki covered her mouth and held in the urge to giggle. Mr. Bird was helping! What a clever bird. She was going to have to find out what sort of food he liked and bring him a nice treat later. If she won the game in the end (and she was confident that she could), then she would be able to buy some treats.

She snuck up behind the person, seized the person's arm and declared "Found you!"

One person found, Marco hid in the trees and waited for Luki to move onto her next victim.

It was only the slightest bit of movement, but Luki's sharp eyes caught it, and she was already on the trail of another person in hiding who was trying to relocate. While changing locations was a good way to stay entertained during hide and go seek, it wasn't a good idea to wait until the seeker(s) were nearby to do it.

Luki crept up on the person with surprising stealth for a child who could be so boisterous at times, catching yet another person.

That was three people so far. She wanted to find them all, although she supposed that other people playing might find one or two before she managed to find everyone.

Marco carefully flitted over the area, blue feathers blending in with the sky, and silently maneuvering. So far Luki definitely seemed to be doing the best, which seemed certainly reasonable enough.

Even with the large bird blending in with the sky, Luki's eyes still picked up on the motion, and she waved at the bird. Was he keeping an eye on her? Well, that was nice if he was. As long as he didn't want to make her into supper. He hadn't been interested in the cookies or in her getting him some seeds, after all. Still, Luki wasn't all that concerned. She knew predatory actions when she saw them, and this wasn't it.

She caught sight of a fourth person and snuck up on a pigtailed cadet as catch #4 for the day.

For a little while, the phoenix drifted away to check on the others, but he soon drifted back when the numbers dwindled until Luki was almost one of the only ones left.

Luki had to admit that the remaining people who hadn't been caught yet were pretty good at hiding. But Luki and Noki were still the best at games, and eventually, she hunted down every last person who was around hiding...save Marco. And that was partially because she had no idea that Marco and Mister Bird were one and the same.

Marco landed nearby, planning to sneak up on Luki still as a bird for his own amusement. As she crept forward, he nudged the small of her back with his head and then attempted to give her an apple. Fruits were much better than cookies.

Luki enjoyed both equally well. She giggled at the nudge, then took the apple with a smile.

"Thank you, Mister Bird. I think I've found everybody now. I don't know what's suppose to happen next..."
