Girl Talk

Character(s): Xu, Quistis

Summary: Xu needs to talk to her bff about some things.



The awkwardness around her, Quistis, and Squall was ridiculous. So they had a few drinks [ok, that was an understatement. they had a LOT of drinks], and it wasn't that big of a deal. Things got a little out of hand, and with Quistis bugging her about it every other day, she thought it would be wise to tell her the truth. Finally. After hours when there wouldn't be time to bug Squall about it. [It wasn't her fault Quistis couldn't remember what happened. Though that could be a blessing in disguise.]

So here she is, at Quistis' door, ringing the buzzer.

Quistis gave a resigned sigh-- it seemed like Xu was stubborn to beat that night into her head. Tired of trying to argue with her friend, Quistis picked up a pillow and threw it at the other girl before sitting back.

"Can we please change the topic?"

Xu was flabberghasted when the pillow hit her. Did that really just happen? Did her friend resort to childish actions? To throwing pillows?

It was so on.

Xu picked up the pillow that was thrown at her, and throws it right back. "What do you want to talk about then?

Quistis managed to bat the incoming pillow away, but she picked it right up and flung it towards her friend once again.

"I don't know-- anything that doesn't involve alcohol, Squall, or groping."

Don't make this into a pillow fight, Quistis. Xu was excellent at those. She's throwing it back. Again.

Quistis didn't throw the pillow back this time-- instead, Xu's question made her grasp at the edges, holding the pillow down in her lap.

She'd considered the option before, countless times since she'd come to this current time. But she still had her reservations; she had been demoted for her lack of leadership qualities, a trait she still didn't possess even after all of her travels. Would she really want to attempt to gain back a position she had previously been deem unqualified for? What if she was denied the position all over again?

"... I have." Quistis answered reluctantly. "I'm still not sure, though."
