Having agreed to meet the elven Instructor for dinner (but not sparring), Edge had taken up a pose by the Garden's entrance, waiting patiently for her arrival.
Oh yes, this had every sign of being an excellent day ahead.

The Instructor is late.
However, she still brought along the case containing her bow and quiver, and if Edge looked closely he could probably see the golem-like shale spider keeping a respectful distance from his hunter.

Of course, as soon as she appeared, Edge immediately shed all outward signs of doubt or consternation in favor of a flirtatious smile. "You anticipated my idea, but I hope you won't mind adding one more." So saying, he bowed dramatically, producing a single red rose from his cloak as an offering to her.

"I'm very sorry to have kept you waiting, Edge. I was in a quandary as to what to wear, and that's what took me so long."

He gestured grandly towards the road with a snap of his cape. "Shall we, then?"

"You said you had someplace in mind?" Katsura asked. Even to her, that seemed a little lame, and she tried to cover it with a smile. Why was this so difficult?

"By the way," he said quite casually, with a glance behind them. "What IS that creature with you?"
no subject
"I plan to have him stay outside the restaurant, unobtrusively on a wall." Where Katsura hoped that he wouldn't get in too much trouble. Sulphur was one of her more steady companions, after all.

Well, maybe not like Edge. Katsura shrugged a little, reflecting her thoughts.
"Sulphur tends to be one of my closer companions. He's a little less excitable than Kitsune, and it's easier to explain webbing than say...poison, if I brought my scorpid along."

Humans were still odd. She shook her head.
"So, how long of a walk do we have? I see I am not so good at small talk as I thought." Katsura gave a dry chuckle.

"You want small talk, tell me how you came to pick up all these companions of yours?"

That made her think. "You know, perhaps I could tame some of the animals here. I never really tried. Mostly because I have been content with what I had."

"Actually, one of a hunter's ways of training is called beastmaster. The others are survival and marksmanship. I preferred marksmanship and beast mastery, myself."

Perplexing!

"Well!" she said, brightly. "That just means you'll have an opportunity to see more of me, if you so choose. Because I certainly wouldn't mind a few pointers."
no subject
You bet your ass he would.
"Of course I'll help! I'll have to see about picking up a few spare weapons, but that certainly shouldn't be a problem."

Her lips pursed for a moment, and Katsura chuckled. "But I must say, how smooth of you to arrange a second date before we even finished the first!"

Katsura chuckled. What WAS she doing? Well...whatever it was, she hadn't had as much fun in...
It was a pity that she couldn't remember.
