Character(s): Headmaster Cid, Oli Westcliffe
Location: Headmaster's office
Rating: G
Open/Closed/Finished: Closed
Summary: Oli has an idea to start up a dance troupe; all he needs is the Headmaster's approval.

[Headmaster Cid is in high spirits. The constant disappearance and reappearance of cadets as ceased, and now that the term has started everything seem back to normal-- or, at least as normal as Garden life comes. He's sitting at his desk now, reading over several mission propositions that need to be considered.]

"Knock Knock." Oliver straightened his shirt and tapped twice on the headmasters door. He remembered his appointment. This was something he could completely not miss. This was for the most important thing he could be doing whilst he was stuck in this dimension.

It'd be easy to make Headmaster Cid see the light of the Dance Troupe right? Of course it would. 'Discipline, reflexes, fun yadda yadda yadda. Okay. We can do this.' Oli thought to himself, waiting to be let into the headmasters office.

Oliver took a deep deep breath before opening the door and bowing to the Principal, his arm arcing and his right leg sweeping behind him. He looks up with a smile.

"A traditional greeting from a dance pupil to his instructor." He nods. "One of the few things I could teach a troupe." He added with a smile putting a hand on the chair, but waiting to shake the principals hand before taking a seat.

"I'd like to start a dance troupe." He offered with a confident smile and a nod. "I think it'd be a fun way to help students unwind and get 'em socialising in a way that helps with with their studies too." He continued, shuffling to make himself slightly more comfortable.

"I used dance to keep myself focused when I was studying, both here and on my home world." He smiled again with another nod. "Dance is more than just ballroom dancing too, and while the teaching gig is fun and awesome, it'd be nice to show I can teach other types of dancing too!" Oli finished, hoping he hadn't been too forceful in his reasoning.

"A group of volunteer students who want to learn how to do several types of dance, ranging from street to the Argentine Tango." He started, grinning. "If we get four dancers, we get four dancers. If we get forty we get forty! I can teach almost anyone to dance." He nodded, thinking over his notes.

"We'd meet twice weekly, one mid-week after classes before curfew and Saturday mornings from 11am to 1pm to get a healthy warm up and cool down in. We'd do showcases at no cost or for charity or something. But that's pretty much it!"

I have NO IDEA why that happened...

"That sounds like a challenge to me! We'll see how it goes. People may even surprise me and be extremely talented dancers." He can't really contain his own happiness, he was beaming.

"If not, we'll set up a showcase for some time after. I've got a few ideas. We could also incorporate the music class, give them some practical experience. That's if Instructor Evans and you agree of course." He added, still slightly paranoid that something from the cosmos will make this go bad for him!

"Yes Sir!" He said beaming and doing a tiny dance with his feet.

"Well. If there's nothing else, I'd better get planning. And Advertising. And Auditioning. Though that's not really the point of the troupe. I'll just get them to show me a little something and then we'll go from there." He said more to himself than the headmaster.
