Character(s): Sephiroth & Vaan
Location: Dorm room A121
Rating: PG.
Open/Closed/Finished: Closed - Unless you want to visit with a friendly knock.
Summary: Vaan and Sephiroth meet and discover that they're long lost sisters. They become life-long friends. This is their roommate situation.
Coming back from swim instruction, Vaan felt refreshed. The heavy weight of the water as they practiced the front crawl over and over again in class made being out of the element feel easy. His body felt light and springy like he could run for miles. Usually he wouldn't stay past class, but he stayed at the pool a couple of hours extra, taking it as free time to relax and play. Better than being locked up in your room anyway.
A white towel still covering his soggy blond hair, Vaan planned to work it back into its usual dry, feathery state by the time he got back to his room.
Swinging the door open, the first thing Vaan did was throw his waterlogged towel onto the floor of the common room, letting it seep out its liquid there. He'd pick it up later. They probably got laundry service here anyway.

Just ignore it. Whoever it is will go away.

It wasn't until he heard the countdown, that Vaan popped up from his covers, glaring at the intruder. He glared right into the ice cold eyes of a very tall, creepy guy, that he could only assume was his roommate. If Vaan seemed surprised, it was momentary.
"What's your problem? I was sleeping," Vaan emphasized the word, in an accusatory tone.

Vaan stumbled out of bed, raising his hand up, signaling for Sephiroth to stop counting.
"What mess?" he asked, upon looking out into the common room. Vaan saw nothing. Maybe a towel on the floor? Big deal.

Like a kicked puppy, Vaan followed him out, staring out at the lone towel.
"Oh." A natural annoyance crept into Vaan's voice then. "Yeah. I'll get it."

Walking over to the towel, Vaan scooped it up carelessly, not before mopping up some of the excess water leaked around the floor. The rug was partially wet too. Oh well. He hoped the guy wouldn't notice that.
Vaan carried the towel to his laundry bin, letting it tumble from his arms into the bin, like an unwanted baby.
"We're good now?"

Vaan wasn't sure what to make of his roommate, but with the towel threat out of the way, there wasn't any harm in talking.
"Hey, were you in the military or something? 'Cause you seem really strict about the 'clean' thing." Vaan perched on one of the stools, waiting for the answer.

Vaan wouldn't comment that Sephiroth seemed like a general. He'd been around enough people in the military back home to know.

"Yes, mother." The second part shouldn't have leaked out, but it did.

"If you want me to behave like your parental figure, I can do that, though for now I'm going to deal with this class work I have. I'd suggest you do yours as well if you have any and haven't already done it."

"No thanks..." Vaan rocked his stool backwards, balancing it on two of its legs, as he held onto the counter. He wondered whether to take Sephiroth literally or what. Yeah, he didn't seem the joking type. His idea of behaving like a 'parental figure' probably involved giving a lot of orders too. Orders like, 'Do your homework'.
Snapping the stool back to the floor, Vaan looked towards the door, thinking more about exploring the grounds than completing any class work.
