Just dropping by...[backdated to shortly before arriving at Fisherman's Horizon]

Character(s): Cid & Rygdea

Location: Cid's Dorm

Rating: PG?

Open/Closed/Finished: Closed.

Summary: A visit between two old friends.

Rygdea rounded the corner of the faculty dormitory. There were no classes today and he had about all he could stand of the silence in his own room. Yes, times like this called for unannounced visits. The man slowed his pace as he came to room A225.

The polite thing to do would be to knock. The Rygdea thing to do was to barge in.

'Door is probably locked anyway,' he thought. 'And all those cats.'

A firm knock would have to do instead.

At the sound of the knock on his door, Cid looks up and slips a bookmark into the book he's reading. B.G.'s already trotting toward the door, while Lieut is eyeing him suspiciously from a nearby chair. Slipping off the bed, he ambles over, wondering who could be calling at this hour, and upon reaching the door, he looks through the peephole first--Cid's not too keen on visitors to his room, after all.

Upon finding Rygdea standing outside, however, he immediately pulls the door open. "This is a surprise," he said, an amused smile pulling on his lips. "Come in."

Cid steps aside just enough to let the other in and locks the door behind him.

"And to what do I owe this pleasure?"

"Somehow, I am not surprised by that," Cid replied, amusement evident in his tone. He padded back inside, heading to the kitchenette. "Can I offer you something to drink?"

He already had a mug in his hands, but he turned to face his friend. "Or perhaps a light snack?"

Just water? Cid shrugged lightly at that and went ahead to pour the other a glass. He gestured at the table in the living area and left the glass there before turning to prepare a cup of tea for himself.

"You are the first and only guest, if you must ask," he answered easily, chuckling quietly as he did so. "Did you think that a change of location would lead me to changing my room habits?" A pause and another smile. "Then again, you never were one to mind or notice those habits of mine."
