Summary: Luna has found out that her old buddy is around and decides to hang about and pester him in the best way she knows how.

Luna couldn't help her excitement as she perched herself on the stage, rolling onto her back and spreading her wings beneath her. This was the most 'fun' she would allow herself, grinning at the ceiling above her, amused about how familiar everything still was to her. Everything had barely changed, leaving her with her memories of what was around and how to get there.

Now it was a matter of waiting for Jecht to get there, knowing full well that she'd probably pester the man as much as she possibly could. He messed about just as much as she did, even if Luna never really let that side of her be seen to the general public.

Legs pulled in close to her body, tail flicking back and forth against the floor in anticipation.

"You're a brat no matter what you look like!" he said, giving her a gentle shove. "Now I ain't sayin' anything!"

"Still older than you are, I am not the brat here!" She huffed back at him, shoving him back. "Oh come on, tell me~"

"You ACT like a brat, I don't care how old ya are! Besides, you're not even totally grown up yet, right? I'm way older than you at heart!" he said, crossing his arms.

"Oh shush, that is beside the point. Just because you at like an old man doesn't mean you're mature."

"Hey, I'm totally mature! Star athlete, wife and kid, I'm the most responsible mature adult in this whole Garden!"

...by those standards, he really was, too. How damn depressing was that?

Very depressing, in all honesty.

"How depressing that you're such a star and yet are already taken from the world. At least I can be assured that I'll stay a single mare for the rest of my lifetime. No time to be a princess, royalty, and in charge of the moon with those things holding me down."

"Hmph. If I could do it while bein' a blitzball star, you could do it while doin' those things." Obvious which role he considered the most intensive, right? "Figure you're more lacking... y'know, male ponies here."

"There is that, yes. Here, anyway. Back home I would say my issue was the fact that everyone slept during the night while I was awake..."

"That's what was stoppin' you? Get outta here," he said, rolling his eyes dramatically.

"You try to have a social life when no one else is awake." She shifts again, feeling far better to just stay her regular self for the time being.

"Well, Zanarkand was pretty much a 24-hour city, so I never had that problem," he said, shrugging. "But you... you got no excuse. I bet people'd be willing to stay up late to hang out with you."

"They would much rather be around Celestia than myself. Something about being awkward and some still thinking I'm a threat." A little huff at him again, shoving his leg with her head again. "I can promise you that all the other royalty will be married and have families and I will never get to that point. Such is the life of the night and moon."

"I don't believe it, and you shouldn't either," Jecht said stubbornly. "I know you better'n that. Took me long enough to actually get you to settle down around me, though."

"Exactly my point, I am so off-putting to those around me and it does bother me more than I let on," she muttered in reply, not exactly in her best spirits here again. "I might get an apprentice to take over for me at best."

"Other way around, Luna," Jecht said. "You worry so damn much about puttin' people off that you're afraid to open up! And I'm the proof of that. You ain't puttin' me off, and you're comfortable here, right?"

"I suppose I am comfortable here, considering I do not have stigma immediately attached to me here." Though she went quiet after that, moving to rest on a table instead to be closer to eye-contact. "How does one even open up to new things? We were around each other for a long time before I did, you know."

"Yeah, an' if I hadn't kept trying you'd've just let it rest," Jecht said. Why he had kept trying, he couldn't say -- after all, he tended to act more on instinct than rational thought. "Just be yourself. Don't try too hard, and don't be afraid. Easier said than done, I know."
