Third Meeting

Summary: A monthly meeting between Headmaster and his SeeDs.

[It's close to finals (and the impending school break), so it's about time for Headmaster Cid to address both SeeD and the Instructors present on some very important matters. The Headmaster sits at the head of the table just as he did the last two meetings. There's a few leaflets of papers pinned together by a paperclip at the top corner, as well as the local Deling newsletter resting over top of the clipboard at his side.

Cid scans the contents while he patiently waits for everyone to arrive and seat themselves, a gray folder laid out in front of him.

This meeting isn't much different from that of the second one held a few months ago, but as soon as everyone is seated, Cid lowers the papers and looks around at the faces gathered.]

Thank you all for joining me today.

[Cid clears his throat.]

I know it's close to finals week, for those of you currently teaching this Quarter, but I've called you all because you'll be assigned on various missions over the course of this month over the rest of the world. We've convened so that I may brief you all on your assigned missions, and in due time, that you may leave for your missions as soon as you can.

If you have any questions now, please go ahead and ask me. [He smiles, going ahead and giving each person the assigned packet for their missions.] If you wish to change missions or to join a mission, now would be a good time to speak up too.

[ooc | If you missed the sign up post for missions and you play a SeeD, please go ahead and reply to this post anyways! The right amount of people signed up for missions, so there was no need to draw in the first place.

Note: Espio will be assigned to Mission 1, instead of Mission 2, simply because it involves deep cover, and Espio is still a chameleon. We hope that's alright!]

Mission 1 Briefing

[The mission packet assigned to Gakupo, Jecht, and Espio contains the following information: They are to protect noblewoman Corrine Kousan prior to her wedding to the mayor's nephew. The rewards are listed, as well as the blueprints of each building she'll be spending time in just in case they wanted to coordinate the best strategies.]

[Gakupo looks over the package, eyebrows furrowed in thought.]

We'll have to make some shifts if this will be an all day duty to protect her.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I specialized in all para-magic, including recovery.

Mission 2 Briefing

[The mission packet assigned to Cid Raines and Pinkie Pie contains the following information: Colonel Nina Loveguard from Deling suspects that she is the victim of a sniper, and wishes as much protection as possible. However, that is the official excuse, as clearly noted on the first page.

The next pages note the real reason of the mission: Colonel Loveguard suspects that the Galbaldian military is holding out valuable information on her, and wishes for some SeeDs to go undercover as her subordinates (or relatives, or whatever they choose) in order to properly understand the motives of these people better.

Most importantly, once a SeeD embarks on this mission, they will be cut off from contact with Garden; Colonel Loveguard believes that any sort of contact with Balamb Garden will give her military the wrong impression. (They will have some access in the form of indirect contact, as well as with any SeeDs they encounter on their mission.)

There is a small note about Cadet Damian Razem joining them, as he is a Cadet who's studied at Garden for almost two years and is only ineligible for graduation because of his age.

The rewards are clearly marked, as are possible cover identities and appointments with local hairstylists, just in case.]

[Pinkie bounces in on her usual pogo stick and hops off it, providing a well trained salute to the Headmaster before sitting. There's a package for her and she opens it. As she's reading, she blows a huge bubble gum bubble.]

Uh...QUESTION! Can I just...wear a wig? [Anyone who has ever tried to style her hair know it never stays in any other style than the current one.]

[Headmaster nods.] That's perfectly fine. Those stylists should still be able to help you in that regard.

Oh! Another question! Why is this cadet going with us? I thought these missions were for SeeD only?

Mission 3 Briefing

[The mission packet assigned to Grell and Champloo contains the following information: They are to meet representatives from Edwards Technology outside Balamb Garden in a week's time. They are to successfully negotiate a business deal between Balamb Garden and Edwards Tech - and to hopefully get Garden a better bargain than they had in the past.

Additionally, Headmaster wishes for Grell and Champloo to interrogate these SeeDs, and to figure out if Edwards Tech was responsible for the spyware a few months back. Like with the other missions, the rewards are clearly listed.]

[Champloo studies this quickly, eyes flicking over the sentences as a smile grew on his face.]

Hyahya, this shall be as smooth as perfectly-formed gelatin, yet simple as baked chicken, boom!

[Grell just looks at him oddly.]

If you're not going to be coherent, then you're not allowed to SPEAK. Also, I'd love to interrogate those fellows.

...Clearly I should be the one to negotiate the business deal.

[She raises an eyebrow.]

Hyahya! You cannot do both! Would you use a bread knife to cut steak? Your knife is well-sharpened and honed, the kind that will cut the unwary cook if he takes his hands off the blade and his mind of his task. That makes you most suited to interrogate!

[Champloo is entirely unruffled.]

[Grell dramatically leans back into her chair, rubbing at the bridge of her nose.]
