Jin Kisaragi stepped out from the admissions office of Balamb Garden, green eyes scanning his acceptance letter with rapt attention. Everything seemed to be in order and expected there, newly issued school uniform hanging casually in its tote on his other arm. With his sponsorship, dorm and class schedule lined up it appeared the Kisaragi heir had little else to do but appreciate the fact that he was now fully enrolled into his unexpected new life.
Assuming, that is, he could really accept such a ridiculous prospect.
"This all still seems unbelievable, doesn't it?" The cadet speaks quietly aside to his redheaded companion and fellow enrolled as he begins to walk, mentally evaluating the many difference in the Garden's design than that of Torifune's as the a polished slate of marble passed beneath an east saunter, "Time compression, stealing people at random. A world without Ars Magus, entirely different magic systems to learn.." He spoke about these things as if they were the troublesome problems of somebody else, but a note of interest in new challenges might be gleaned from his pessimism. "I presume you got your sponsorship, Tsubaki?" His eyes casually lifted to her confirmation letter, though he did not dare read it without permission.
Although the brilliantly red-headed young woman didn't look like she was being possessive of her acceptance letter. She mostly just looked deep in thought. But while Jin treated this new enrollment with stoic calmness, her words were more... carefully chosen.
"...Hm? Oh, yes, it seems I did," She says, as if she had had any doubt. "I'm not sure if that's uncommon or not, though. It wasn't a very difficult interview."
But she sounds distracted. She folds her arms politely across each other, with her new uniform hung over one arm and her acceptance letter and dorm assignments in the other. And though she may try to hide it, there's something in her voice she can't quite hide--A hint of worry. Uneasiness. "...It is unbelievable. I don't think it's really settled in yet. Time compression, strange worlds... And it happened so quickly, too. If we hadn't worked late that night, would we have just avoided this? Was it really just us being at the wrong place at the wrong time? It seems..."
Unfair would have been an impolite word.
"...Still hard to believe, still."
"I thought it was some kind of illusion ars at first." Jin admitted, having no particular comment for how rigorous or not Balamb's interview process was, "But it would've had to have been an extremely skilled user to lay one down without my noticing." Some part of him wonders if that might not still be the case, and he wandered like a fool in a prison he did not recognize, "But it seems we can't depend on the simplest explanation here. I suppose we'll have to make do. But..." He sighed, "I'd say you shouldn't have stayed late to help me, but I don't imagine that would have stopped you. I'm just glad you weren't by yourself." And as far as people to share such an odd experience with, Tsubaki was the only one he would've picked.
"I suppose we'll need to look into come clubs to join. I wonder if there's a student council.." Already, Jin's mind was keen on the path to influence and power, ever the Kisaragi.

Well, too late for that. Tsubaki is taken in by the unfamiliar animal's appearance, and Jin's attempts at escape are waylaid by her panicked request. "Ah, sorry.." He stops, holding a folded directory up innocently, "But I have a pretty good idea where we need to go, all we need to do is follow these-"
The four-legged creature suddenly /flies/, the speed of which is nearly enough to trigger an instinctive defense on Jin's part until Rainbow Dash promptly stops and launches into a withering lecture instead. "Ah." Jin lifts his head, seeming not to be cowed in the least by the fluttering thing's indignation, "So you're like a beastkin. That's what we'd call you on our world." He adds, hastily, "It's not an offensive term."
With that, brief glance is tossed Tsubaki's as if to say 'Doesn't her attitude remind you of a certain someone?' before dipping his head in accommodation, "Hello. My apologies, but I was rather focused on getting to where we were going. My name is Jin Kisaragi, and i've enrolled in Balamb Garden as of today." He'll let Tsubaki make her own introductions.
