Summary: Sollux finds his room, and meets his roommate

After consulting a map of the garden, Sollux made it to the dorm he's been assigned to. He had no luggage with him, as anything he owned was left behind, either on the meteor, or in his sylladex, which hadn't been functioning since he'd arrived. Not being the best when it comes to navigation, it had taken Sollux far longer than he'd care to admit to find the damn place. He'd been told that someone else was sharing the dorm, but the name he had been given had escaped him.

He stared at the door for a moment, and with a long sigh, knocked twice. "Hello?" He hoped his new roommate was around... better to just get this over with.

"I'll have to keep that in mind then."

As soon as he got to a computer, he was going to post to this 'BBS'. Oh, how he hoped Feferi was here... as his thoughts wandered, he found himself staring off into space, the conversation temporarily forgotten. He blinks, and turns back to Tobias.

"Tho... um..."

Conversation. Definitely something he needs more practice with.

"What is it?"

Tobias blinks a little, apparently unbothered by the sudden lack of conversation and staring into space. Been there, done that, he understands the difficulty of keeping a conversation up.

"I don't really know."

He sighs, frowning and looking away again.

"I jutht... I feel tho out of plathe here. And I'm worried about thome of my friendth back home."

"Well, you don't have to worry about your friends. Time is really weird here, and when you go back, you kind of go back to where you were before! Sometimes you go back in time too, but usually it's right back to where you were before you left. It's the Time Compression thing!"

Tobias gives him a cheerful smile, attempting to be reassuring.

"I'm sure your friends at home will be okay."

"...Maybe."

He continues staring ahead, trying to decide what to say. He decides to leave it at that. He hardly knew this kid after all, not much sense in just spilling out everything.

"I'm going to go to bed, okay? If you need anything, I'll help you however I can!"

He stands at that, picking up his little mouse, though he stops before he gets out of the room.

"Oh, did you figure out your classes?"

"Not yet. They thaid it wath clothe to the end of thith quarter or whatever. Figured I may ath well wait till the nektht one." He stands, and heads to his door. "Thith one'th mine, right?"

"You can still figure out what you want to do, though, right? Because of the specializations."

He blinks a little, nodding.

"Yup, that's your room! You can come into mine if you need anything. I have a lot of paper and stuff all around."

"Alright. And yeah, I'll figure it out at thome point..."

He opens his door and walks in.

"Thee you."

"Sleep well!"

And with that, Tobias disappears into his own room.
