Homesick feels worse somedays...
Characters: Ronnae + anyone
Location: Obel Lake
Rating: PG-ish?
Open/Closed/Finished: Open
Summary: A bittersweet day away from home.
Ronnae had woken up today melancholy and she already knew why. She was far from home on this once a year day and she could tell that it would take a toll on her even before getting out of bed. That alone took a bit; She remained looking at the ceiling for a long time, memories of her family and home taking up the majority of the moment before she finally set off to shower.
Once bathed and dressed, she decided to go grab something from the cafeteria and make her way towards the lake they had stopped at for the break. She picked may of her favorites, stuffing them in her bag before she had begun to leave, only turning to grab a slice of strawberry cake for the occasion... After all, can't have a birthday without cake?
Once she arrived at the lake, she had taken a spot under a nice, shady tree near the lake itself. It almost felt nostalgic... It was trees and areas like these where she'd like to lounge and lazy about back when she was younger... Today it simply felt depressing as it was lacking the teasing from her siblings or the odd yet silly topics one of her only friends would bring up as they lazied about together.
She missed her parents the most... her mothers and her fathers... and how attentive they had always been to them, especially on days such as this one. Ronnae fought back the tears and shook her head, scoffing at herself at how pathetic it would seem to some of her peers from school, or the regimen... She finally began to take a few bites of her food in hopes that it would drown out the sorrow.

She gave a small wave and picked up the ball nearby her. "This one?" she asked curiously.

"I mean... I know that with all the money problems we're having... Maybe you could do like fund raiser to be able to build one? I mean, I'm sure if you held competitions, you could make much more than what you'd spend building it if it got really popular."
If gladiatorial arenas made tons of gold in her world, she was sure that his stadium and sport could do the same.

"Hey, you handle that ball pretty well."

Sometimes talks about the few things that brought a smile to her face were good distractions for Ronnae.
"If you could tell me a bit more about the machines necessary... maybe I could work on a prototype? And work from there?" she said curiously.
At the latter comment, she smiled. "I like heavy object. It's sort of part of my trade. The heavier the better." Which was kind of surprising for a girl of her figure, after all, moving like a tornado in extra heavy plate plus gracefully wielding two oversized two-handed weapons like a dervish was no easy feat.
All that strength and agility must be in her hair.

He held out a hand. "Oh yeah? Kick it here."

Elemental magic wasn't lacking in this world either, so with some tinkering...
She took the ball and bounced it a few times before easily kicking the ball over without skipping a beat.

"I wish I could see it." she thought out loud.

Then again, when you specialize into something, you get to be better at it.
"Sounds like it'd be a hell of a good training."

She gave a polite bow and nodded, "Thank you, for helping me get my mood up and give me a new project to focus my thoughts on. I'll be going back to the Garden."
