This Feels Familiar...

Characters: Reno, Grell, and possibly Aerith later on?
Location: In a forest by that lake thing.
Rating: UHHH. Probably R due to violence and Reno being Reno.
Open/Closed/Finished: Closed
Summary: After the incidents of this thread, Reno's absolutely livid and on the hunt to find Grell. It takes a lot to push his buttons, but somehow she found the worst one... the Hojo button.

To say that Reno was livid was the understatement of the century, his blood boiling in a way he hadn't felt since he was back home. No one had managed to get under his skin and hit his buttons this badly on this planet until now, particularly one of his worst buttons. The way Grell had spoke reminded him all too much of the way Hojo handled things, reminding him of all the experiments Hojo had done that he'd seen and ones he'd only heard tales of. Even if he hadn't been able to speak out against the crazed scientist back home, he had a chance now to stop something awful before it got out of control. Before someone innocent got caught up in it and changed into something they didn't want or lost their minds due to their brain fracturing and shutting down from the trauma of the change.

A low snarl managed to slip past his lips as he left his room, bright eyes searching and hunting for the information she'd given him. Red hair, cats, a chocobo. Those things made his life a lot easier on the hunt, really. But after some time he came up empty handed, no one of that description was in Garden that he could tell. He'd searched up and down the school, turning over the training center in the process to make sure he wasn't missing anything. In the process he'd let his anger get a hold of him, putting a particularly noticeable dent in a wall of the quad as well as taking quite a few marks of damage from the monsters in the center. But even with the scrapes, cuts, bruises, and even an open wound or two that caused blood to cake on his arm and face he didn't care. Did not care what-so-ever about the damages, he'd been in worse.

Finally he made his way outside, mag-rod already extended and attached to his left hand. He didn't give a single damn that he wasn't supposed to have it out in the surroundings, this was absolutely necessary. Body posture was nothing short of tense and ready to spring at a single moment's notice, eyes focused and colder than anyone had ever seen from him. The lake seemed like a likely place, but he avoided the majority of it, walking the perimeter between the lake and forest. He'd find her, a Turk never allowed their prey to get away from them.

Grell stopped in her tracks, listening to his words. All they made her do was roll her eyes. WIth a hand on her hip, she stood up straight, her chainsaw now leaning against her shoulder rather casually despite the weapon being dangerous.

"Who ever said anything about SOLVING things?" She was getting bored already, despite the rush she got from chasing him. "And you're not one to judge how much blood I require from my targets~!" She began walking towards him slowly, grinning sharply to Reno. "Now, are you going to fight back or not?"

"That's enough!"

A third voice cut in, its owner shoving her way through a few inconvenient bushes. Aerith used her staff as a vaulting pole to leap over the last few hedges, then jumped to Reno's side to assess the damage.

"We only draw blood from others at donation drives. Leave now, or I'll be submitting my report as a witness."

She shifted her staff in her hands, prepared to fight if needed. All Aerith needed was to create enough distance to properly focus on healing.

Well, if ever there was a time that Reno was glad to see a healer, it was right then. A sigh of relief escaped him, clutching at his side still before plopping down on his knees to the ground as it was too much effort for him to keep standing anymore. Reno'd been hurt to this extent before, though it had been an entirely different situation as to why. Hell, he'd been holed up in a damn room for quite a while from all of that and it still bothered him to think about it.

"Thank who the hell ever," he muttered to himself, looking hazily between Aerith and the redhead for the moment. He was pretty sure that if Grell kept going that Aerith wouldn't be a match for her on a physical level, but she did have healing over her, he was sure. Though he didn't think much on it, already getting that feeling of light-headedness from the blood loss and just in general of his adrenaline wearing off.

"Nice to see ya, Aerith." He managed to get out finally, unable to hold back the almost forced laugh.

Aerith's frown remained firmly in place. She swung her staff up and cast her strongest healing spell---that would keep him from bleeding out for now, but he'd still need to be treated by hand.

She continued to watch Grell from the corner of her eye, as if daring the woman to keep it up now.
