[ The Headmaster waved the next student out of his office, chuckling at the confused look upon the poor girl's face as she exited. Many of the new arrivals had come into his office looking a mixture of confused, frightened and, in some cases, angry, and he'd been doing his best to assuage the worries of his new students as he explained everything he could about the Garden and the world at large.

Peering down at the next student's file, Cid adjusted his glasses and cleared his throat, rising to his feet to poke his head out into the hallway. ]

Thank you! And I was going to write a prose sample, but the trial thread seemed like too much fun - I'm kind of surprised more people didn't take it. o7
