[Marco runs around setting everything up. There's platters of food laid out -- more than enough and some extra as a habit from dealing with Ace and 1600 pirates, a boombox with tons of music, beach volleyball set up, a campfire, and according to Selphie and Marco, fireworks for later. GO NUTS. There will be some threads set up, but you can make your own or do anything! Just remember if the thread gets wild, mark it as NSFW.]

[Tobias is a little nervous (still has to get used to new people again!), but he waves at Fionna.]

All right! [She would start with a pretty strong serve, arching up and comig down steady].

[Tobias rushes over, reaching up and smacking the ball back once it comes down to him. There's not a lot of power behind his hit -- it's more of a gentle sort of arc than any aggressive hit.]

[Starting off small? Fionna is cool with that. She gives it a nice bump to go higher, then follows up with a harder hot].

[Tobias just isn't that aggressive a... well, anything. And he's not actually played volleyball much, so small is good.

And at least he seems to be able to follow the ball pretty well! Pop, back over to Fionna it goes.]

[Fionna smiles. It's a pretty nice, easy game, and they're both hitting it well enough. But Fionna wants to liven things up a little, so next time she gives a sharp hit that goes a little farther in.]

[Tobias isn't quite expecting that, but he's quick enough to not quite lose it. Is he supposed to speed up now?

All right, he can do that!

He hits it somewhat harder, sending it back and a bit further back himself.]

[Cool, now its starting to get a little more serious! Fionna waits, seeing how quick the ball was traveling and adjusts to it, making sure to give the falling volleyball a stiff rolling blow toward Tobias].

[Tobias gives a surprised little noise, managing to catch it and bounce it up in the air. It's not quite enough to go over the net, though, so he moves under it and gives it a harder hit once it's near him again, sending it back.

He's giggling a little, there, Fionna. Don't mind it.]

[Oh, nice one! But Fionna had been waiting to give a spike, and now she had the chance! The giggle to Fionna was little more than a taunt, but Fionna was not bothered by it!]

[Taunting wasn't something Tobias could even think of -- this is just fun! The spike definitely catches him off guard, though, and he instinctively flinches away from the ball, letting it hit the sand.

After a moment, he retrieves it with a smile.]

Wow, that was fast.

That's totes the best way to play!

[She brushes herself off grinning].

Hey, what's your name?

Mhm! That was fun!

[He blinks a little.]

Oh, I'm Tobias!

Yeah, I know! Tons! Glad we could do it!

[stretches]

I'm Fionna!

[He doesn't offer a handshake or anything, but he's beaming a little.]

We should play it again sometime!

[She's fine with no handshake-that would have been weird! That was what you did with old guys!]

Same here, and sure! Anything where I can test my bod is all right with me!

[Tobias nods a bit, bouncing the ball on his knee again. It's a fun little thing, even if it tires him out a bit.]

Um... I just got here today, but I've been here before. Did a lot happen?

I've been here a few months, some mostly I'm studying!

So not much!
