Summary: It's a wedding!



Grell, who was pacing back and forth in her wedding dress, awaited her fate during the final moments of her freedom. It was just a few feet away in a room just off to the side from the ballroom. She was nervous, because the big day finally came. All she had to do was wait for an escort to go down the aisle.

This wedding was severely impromptu. Not all the details had been finalized. Right now, she could care less about food and guests.

Marco is some mixture of completely damn nervous, and trying to act as cool and confident as ever. Tuxedo, red shirt, now if he can just remember to breathe.

[ Hey Marco. Guess who the fourth wall was kind enough to allow for this little reunion. Have an ermine hopping up on your shoulder and giving you a little rap on the temple. ]

Marco~ Hey, buddy, what's up with you? This is it!

This feels really rushed. I know why and all, but...

[Suddenly sitting behind you and patting your back.]

[Here, have a bro swinging his arm around your shoulders. And also wearing a tux. He cleans up well. He's a bit nervous, too, since he doesn't know what the hell to do.]

It'll be fine, Marco. Try to breathe, okay?

[ Cue: one mini reaper peeking in by the doorway where Grell would be doing her pacing. There was a small chuckle as she pulls herself from the doorway, arms folded behind her back. ]

Looking good, Red.

[Grell whips her head around and finds..]

Shin?! [Walks over to her quickly.] Aren't you...gone?

[As a Bridesmaid it's Rinoa's job to help Grell out before the wedding. Which is probably a good thing since it seems Grell likely needs the help. Last minute details and all that.]

[So she pops into the room Grell's in, already dressed up in her Christmas present, a dress that had belonged to her mother. It's a little more than Rinoa's used to, but she figures Julia would appreciate that it got worn to a wedding - not to mention it's the best Rinoa has to matching the color scheme. It's just a good thing that Rinoa isn't overly self conscious since it shows off a good deal more skin than she shows usually.]

[The dress is to DIE for. It has her approval. Grell looks to Rinoa, nodding. This is the most nervous Grell has ever been in centuries. Not even for her exam for becoming a reaper did she show this much nervousness.]

My stomach is doing somersaults.

[ So there's this guy. Wandering about, checking the sights. May have flashed a few smiles at that cute receptionist near the turnstiles, said hi to a student or two.

And he's just walking past, hands in his pockets and calm as you please...

But then he does a double take upon walking past a particular doorframe. Taking one step back now.

Pausing.

Staring.

No. Totally unmistakable. ]

[Grellis primping her hair a bit before turning and seeing that familiar face. Her green eyes widen slowly.]

...Ronnie?! Impossible...

[This is shocking stuff, but the best man is actually dressed today, and it's not even his SeeD uniform!

Less shockingly, he's hanging out by a wall, not sure what to do with himself.]

[For some reason, Grell sticks her head outside her door and spots Espio. She blinks in surprise at his attire.]

Why, Espio, you look rather smart!

[Squall is on the third floor, sitting at his very own desk, doing paperwork. Well, staring at paperwork, to be more precise. He doesn't remember having to do any of this when he was first appointed to Commander.]

(Shouldn't there be staff to do this? No wonder I left three times.)

[Wedding, what wedding?]

[That's because when he was first appointed Commander he was more preoccupied with saving the world. So things like paperwork might have got pushed to the wayside just a bit.]

[Rinoa doesn't even bother to knock, she just waltz's right in.]

Should have known I'd find you here. [She smiles, amused by how some things at least seem to stay the same.] Come on, there's a wedding and you really should be there. We need to hurry, because I can't be late.

[Since she's a bridesmaid it'll look pretty bad if she's late to the wedding after all. Also how does he appreciate Rinoa's new look thanks to Julia's dress?]

[So, one ex-reaper, now traveller has somehow found her way here on this occasion. Mistaken identity has been avoided through hairstyle and attire (a good hat was so useful) and she's been just wandering around, somehow finding herself close by what appeared to be wedding preparations. Interesting.

And that wasn't a mirror in the room she just passed.

Hm.

It probably breaks several laws of interuniversal travel to do this, but she really can't resist breaking out into a smile when peeking around the corner for a minute gives her enough information to place pieces together. Now, she'll be formal about it, and if the world explodes for it, it will have been worth it.

Knocking lightly on the doorframe:]

Is it too late to offer congratulations, darling?

[Grell turns at the knock, but wow, this is a new experience. Seeing a mirror of yourself, but it isn't a perfect reflection. Grell tentatively walks over to her, keeping green eyes on the woman.]

Do I know you?

[Well, Whitebeard is wearing a very nice suit today which I am too lazy to link. Just a regular tux, but complete with his trademark coat. He will just be. Fidgeting a little. And adjusting his suit.

Okay, so what the hell do you do at a wedding, he has no idea.]

[Finding just the right dress for the wedding hadn't been as easy as Bulla had hoped - a lot of the dresses she'd found before revealed more skin than was really appropriate for a wedding. Finally, she'd settled on a long gown with matching gloves.

Currently, she's helping to take charge and make sure that things are in good order so that her friends can get married without added stress.]

[Snow has no comment on the dress! His smile appears entirely genuine; the wedding may be slightly bittersweet to him now, but he won't for a second allow that to impinge on their happy day. And he is happy for the pair, make no mistake. This is a sweet and touching day.]
