Summary: Once upon a time, Ace and Kamui wandered into a Balamb Town restaurant to eat, drink and get into trouble.

One of the great things about Balamb Town being a tourist destination was the great selection of restaurants. Ace, being a connoisseur of such places, had picked out one that looked good (and in their price-range) within minutes, and had happily dragged his roommate inside. There was food waiting, dammit!

He glanced quickly around, taking in the decor and cleanliness, before nodding, obviously pleased. "I vote we eat here." Good food, good prices, good company. What could be better?

"Huh. Good point. Maybe you're not in dire straits after all, huh?" He gives a teasing grin. "Aah, nothing bad. Depends what he does. I mean I don't want to be thrown out. 'Specially since Commander Butterblade would probably be happy enough pulling the stick out of his ass and beating me to death with it." A quick shrug as he takes another mouthful and swallows happily. "Just... pranking, is all."

Kamui gave an eyeroll before taking more of their appetizer. He had a feeling Ace would keep his word about force feeding him. He did have to laugh at the joke though, as it would be entirely true. Getting kicked out would be terrible in a world where people think they're witches or something like that.

"Pranking?" He had never participated in them, when he was usually the victim of them. It was all in good nature though. Kamui gave his roommate a skeptical look. "...what kind of prank?"

Ace gave a small scowl that said 'Dammit, why do I have to be the brains of this operation? But I will take this role, because I am awesome like that.' Or something. "Depends what he does. We'd have to match it, like for like. Get him drunk, strip him naked, paint flowers on him and toss him in one of the girl's dorms?" In Ace's mind, this was somewhat amusing, and not at all cruel, traumatic, shocking or... okay, yeah, it was humiliating. But that was the fun part!

...well know, that was an idea he never would have thought of, let alone heard of. Would they even get Seifer that drunk?

"...I certainly hope that no one gets caught." If Seifer was intolerable now, just imagine when he found out who the culprits were.

"Well, I'm not saying we have to do it. Just, y'know... if he does something. Which he might not." He shrugged again, finishing up his food. Yes, already. Now, where was that next course...?

"And if he does do something, we should probably start with something easier, I guess. Like... putting jello in his showerhead."

And Kamui makes a mental note not to piss off his roommate. Ever. Thank goodness the other food came just then, as if the waitress read his thoughts.

"Knowing him, something should arise. I guess we can worry about that later."

"Fine, fine. Guess you know best." Have a deep, sad sigh, anyway. The food seems to perk him right up though, and he's back to smiling flirtatiously at the waitress. Oh, and watching somewhat downwards as she walks away, before shaking his head and turning back to his roomie.

"Anything we should be worrying about now, huh?"

'What was he staring at?' Kamui rose an eyebrow, trying to follow Ace's line of sight, but didn't find anything interesting. He shrugged and hummed at the question. There was a light shake of his head. There weren't any pressing issues that needed to be tended to.

Besides that newsletter.

"I do wonder what the person making that newsletter was thinking. The gossip section is a bit tasteless..."

Ace scowled a little at the mention of the newsletter, stabbing his food with the fork. "It reads like it was typed by a hyped-up sugar-addict with no appreciation for privacy." At least it hadn't said anything about him. Although the lowered T-Rexaur levels could be partially Ace's fault, he guessed. "Either they're oblivious, or deliberately trying to stir up trouble."

Totally oblivious. Not so surprising.

Kamui nodded, not pleased at the newsletter either. "I'd really like to change that, because it ismply doesn't represent the academy well." He began to eat a bit of food, chewing in thought before talking with a clear mouth. "The rest of it was quite informative though. Especially those camaraderie games."

"So you want to take over the newsletter and put out propaganda and baseless rumours for our own senseless amusement?" He smiled sweetly, taking another bite. "I like that plan."

"Wh-What?! No--" Kamui coughs a bit, trying to dislodge some food that got stuck in his windpipe. Drink please?

"Y-Your f-face-! Haah hahahaa-" Maniacal laughter is Ace's forté. Along with eating, which he's holding off on for now.

Grabs some water, seeing as Ace was a bit busy with his laughter to pass him some. Takes a few gulps before sighing in relief that he can breathe. Thanks Ace.

"You're horrible." Kamui merely shook his head, not entirely angry, but who likes choking on food?

"I'm awesome," Ace refutes, managing to calm himself, still grinning. "You planning on writing for the paper, then? Don't know if they'll let you do that, roomie."

Goes back to eating as well, although slowly. He isn't as ravenous as Ace. "It does seem that way, but the only way I'll know is to ask the current leader." Pauses again and sighs, tapping a finger on the table in thought.

He shrugs. "You didn't have time for the Disciplinary Committee... don't really see how you'll make time for a newspaper on top of that." Still eating, and damn, the food here's good. "Gonna have to learn the fine art of delegation, I guess?"

"I'd hate to have to choose, so delegation would be best," although that is easier said than done in his case. Goes back to his food, or else Ace would eat it.
