Summary: Rinoa spends some time with Angelo. Cute happens.

[Anyone walking in the Quad is more than welcome to stumble across Rinoa, who's apparently playing catch with her dog Angelo. While there's still the usual "Go fetch" type scenario going on, there's still quite a bit of petting going on too. All in all it's entirely too adorable. Feel free to either get in on the cute or if you want come be a jerk because "omg isn't that a pet or something?!". Take your pick really.

Just... don't kick the puppy. Unpleasant things will happen.]

Doggie! .. is the first thought that runs through Terra's mind. She'd always liked animals more than people, so while walking through the Quad, she spots the animal, immediately smiling. But it's a confused smile, because while it's precious and fluffy and she wants to peeeeet iiiiiiit, she thought they weren't allowed to have pets...?

After a moment of quiet observation, Terra steps forward with a cautious smile. "What's his -- her -- name?" Terra isn't going to be so rude as to look for its genderbits thanks.

"Her name's Angelo." Rinoa answered, leaning back slightly as she sat petting Angelo so that she could see the newcomer better. Hadn't she seen her in some of her classes? She vowed to check later, just where she recognized the other girl from.

"You can pet her if you want, she really likes the attention."

Terra smiles, taking a small step forward, "I can?" She's delighted with the prospect, moving to kneel by the dog and give her pettings and scritches. But she isn't one to ignore the owner - goodness no! She glances up at Rinoa while giving Angelo attention. "I'm Tina. What's your name?"

Angelo, for her part, seems to like this idea as she settles down to receive some rather nice attention from the new girl.

"It's Rinoa, nice to meet you Tina. Though I think I saw you in some of my classes today. It's a little hard to tell really as things started blurring together a little. There's so much to learn!"

Terra glances at Rinoa again, kneeling on the floor and thorougly spoiling Angelo. She loves animals, and Angelo was too cute for words. "Now that you mention it... yes, you're in some of my morning classes." And a quiet laugh. "There is a lot - I don't think I'm going to do very well in my academic classes."

Angelo was very happy to receive the attention too, she might have even hammed up a little to get more. The fact that Angelo had, so far, approved of all the new cadets she'd met showed that, they were decent people. Dogs have a natural instinct about that sort of thing after all, especially smart ones like hers.

"I's a pretty tough schedule. I'm sure you'll do fine though. Even if things get difficult the trick is to find friends to work with you so that you can get through it all together." It worked with real life and schoolwork too, she was sure of it.

Terra is all too happy to oblige the little canine actress, giggling. "You're really lucky to have a dog like this. She's really sweet." She glances up at at Rinoa again, her smile faltering a bit. "Yeah, you might be right."

Just... with some things she didn't think it would be much help. She didn't have any friends she shared a background with to help her with her memories, after all. She must have had people helping her out back home too, right? "So, did you get a sponsor too?"

Well as they say all pet's tend to reflect on their owners just a little. "I am. I knew she was special since the day I first saw her in that pet store." Rinoa, so very adept at reading facial expressions after him time with Mr. Expressive frowned a little, "Is something wrong? I'm sure someone here could help with it, whatever it is."

Maybe sometime soon, she'd find her friends brought here too. All they could do for now was keep moving forward regardless, because otherwise what else was there to do? "I did." Fishing into her uniform she pulled out a chain now that now had several rings on it. Pointing to a silver bound with a reddish stone on it she looked back to Tina. "I'm in Carbuncle. What about you?"

Mr. Expressive is an awesome nickname. Squall might disagree though. "Huh? Oh no I ..." She paused. "I'm not so sure about that." How could someone help her when she herself didn't know what was wrong? Though ..maybe she should see the nurse. But then again the thought made her uneasy. "I don't know anyone else here - I'm a little envious, a lot of the people here have people they know."

And she blinks, perking up, raising her hand to show the same ring. "Really? That's a coincidence, so am I!"

It was an awesome nickname and it was guaranteed he wouldn't approve. That made it even better actually at least in Rinoa's mind. "You'll never know until you try, right?" Rinoa let the topic go, at least for now. "I guess it'd be really tough. I don't know what I'd do if I was alone with a bunch of strangers.

She smiled at the ring, dark eyes amused. "But at least you've got two friends now. Right?"

Poor Squall. Still Rinoa did have a point - Terra wouldn't know until she tried something anyway. She smiled a bit weakly, "Somehow I don't think you would have much trouble. I think a lot of people would help you out." She can't be too depressed at the thought of being alone, because Rinoa brings up yet another good point.

One that Terra couldn't help but laugh a little about. "Yes, that's absolutely right. Thank you." She paused between scritching Angelo's ears, "Are you staying in the dorms here too?"

He was used to it by now, more or less. "I don't think you'll have too many problems getting help either you know. Just you wait and see!"

Oh well that was better, she really needed to smile more as it brightened her entire face rather nicely. "Don't worry about it, that's what friends are for after all." Angelo settled in to enjoy the attention, rather glad there was so many new people to meet and get petting and attention from. "That's right. B107!"

She doesn't often have too many opportunities to smile! Ask her to look confused or blank and she's all over that though.

"Can the people here...really be trusted...?" She still had her doubts about the place. What would people think of her if they knew ...?

"Oh, you're a bit further down the hall than me. I'm in B103, with Rise."

Well then she'd have to work on fixing that. Everyone should have lots of opportunities to smile after all.

"It's safe here. You're safe here." Rinoa promised with a small smile. "Anyone gives you trouble just take it to the Headmaster or the Commander. They'll take care of it. They're really good like that."

"B103? I'll remember that."
