Summary: Rinoa spends some time with Angelo. Cute happens.

[Anyone walking in the Quad is more than welcome to stumble across Rinoa, who's apparently playing catch with her dog Angelo. While there's still the usual "Go fetch" type scenario going on, there's still quite a bit of petting going on too. All in all it's entirely too adorable. Feel free to either get in on the cute or if you want come be a jerk because "omg isn't that a pet or something?!". Take your pick really.

Just... don't kick the puppy. Unpleasant things will happen.]

[Looking up Rinoa smiled back at the stranger. It was pretty safe to assume that he was one of the people who'd been transplanted.]

Thanks. Her name's Angelo. [It was certainly a quick way to get in Rinoa's good books, he'd been right about that.]

And I'm Rinoa, I think I've seen you in some of my classes.

[So maybe she hadn't paid close enough attention to her gender when naming Angelo. It could have happened to anyone!]

I think that's it anyway. [That's the ones she remembered too, so at least they were thinking the same thing.] Nice to meet you Ace!

[Angelo barked at him, tail wagging at the attention.]

She says it's nice to meet you too.

[Well, tail was of course a relative term as she didn't have much of one, but the picture was still very clear. She was entirely happy with all the attention she was receiving.]

Not usually no, as there's a rule against pets. But Angelo's a special case you see since the headmaster gave us his permission. [Smiling, she ran one hand gently down her companion's back.] She's not a normal dog after all you know, she's super smart!

Cute dog, eh? [Cautiously leans down to give the pup a hand to sniff before reaching up to pet it on the head.]

[Thankfully for Marco, Angelo was a rather friendly dog and she greeted his hand with a curious snuffle before enjoying the head pats with cheerful relish.]

Her name's Angelo. [Rinoa leaned back, smiling up at the stranger. If Angelo approved, then she was fine with him too.]

Nice to meet you Angelo. [Greets the dog almost formally, still gently petting her head.] And you miss?

[He certainly seemed nice enough, Angelo would certainly let her know if anything wasn't right after all. In fact, Angelo gave a quiet bark in answer to her name.]

Me? My name's Rinoa. It's nice to meet you.

Marco. [Holds out a hand to shake, still petting Angelo because alskjalksj can't pull away.]

[She shakes the hand not petting her companion, smiling as Angelo basks in the attention.]

How are you finding Garden so far?

Doggie! .. is the first thought that runs through Terra's mind. She'd always liked animals more than people, so while walking through the Quad, she spots the animal, immediately smiling. But it's a confused smile, because while it's precious and fluffy and she wants to peeeeet iiiiiiit, she thought they weren't allowed to have pets...?

After a moment of quiet observation, Terra steps forward with a cautious smile. "What's his -- her -- name?" Terra isn't going to be so rude as to look for its genderbits thanks.

"Her name's Angelo." Rinoa answered, leaning back slightly as she sat petting Angelo so that she could see the newcomer better. Hadn't she seen her in some of her classes? She vowed to check later, just where she recognized the other girl from.

"You can pet her if you want, she really likes the attention."

Terra smiles, taking a small step forward, "I can?" She's delighted with the prospect, moving to kneel by the dog and give her pettings and scritches. But she isn't one to ignore the owner - goodness no! She glances up at Rinoa while giving Angelo attention. "I'm Tina. What's your name?"

Angelo, for her part, seems to like this idea as she settles down to receive some rather nice attention from the new girl.

"It's Rinoa, nice to meet you Tina. Though I think I saw you in some of my classes today. It's a little hard to tell really as things started blurring together a little. There's so much to learn!"

Terra glances at Rinoa again, kneeling on the floor and thorougly spoiling Angelo. She loves animals, and Angelo was too cute for words. "Now that you mention it... yes, you're in some of my morning classes." And a quiet laugh. "There is a lot - I don't think I'm going to do very well in my academic classes."

Angelo was very happy to receive the attention too, she might have even hammed up a little to get more. The fact that Angelo had, so far, approved of all the new cadets she'd met showed that, they were decent people. Dogs have a natural instinct about that sort of thing after all, especially smart ones like hers.

"I's a pretty tough schedule. I'm sure you'll do fine though. Even if things get difficult the trick is to find friends to work with you so that you can get through it all together." It worked with real life and schoolwork too, she was sure of it.

[Going for a walk around the Quad, Minato of course spots the ever-idyllic sight of a Girl and her Dog. He recalls the girl from Basic Training and Military Movement, of course, though he didn't quite get her name.

As for the dog him/herself, well, Minato knows pets aren't allowed. But hey, maybe Garden has teachers who understand dog - which would immediately make it Koromaru's dream school, come to think of it: all that space to walk around, beasts to prove his alpha male status to, and being able to take classes with the humans?

He's shaken out of his reverie as the dog approaches him - apparently, the ball the girl uses to play catch with stopped close to where he is. He tentatively leans down to offer a hand to pet.]

[Angelo had come bounding up to him, stopping when the ball rolled to a pause near his feet. Then, curious about the hand that was now in range she snuffled at it curiously before tentatively licking along this stranger's skin for a taste. Kind of salty and all together not bad, they had her approval anyway.

Rinoa, having noticed the entire scenario gave it a little time and then wandered over to see who that was. This certainly looked pretty interesting! Though after a moment she realized that they looked vaguely familiar. Perhaps they had some classes together?]

Hi! I'm Rinoa and this is Angelo...do we have some classes together? You look familiar.

[Sensing that he has the dog's approval, he goes on to pet her on her head while he addresses the woman]

Hi there. I'm Minato, and yeah, I think we share some of the morning classes.

Cool dog, by the way.

Minato. I'll remember that. There's just so many people in the morning classes that it's kind of hard to keep track of who's who after a while.

[Angelo sits down at his feet, more than content to get pets while they talk.]

Tell me about it. It's like half the students are taking the same four classes at the same time.

[Minato does find it a bit odd that it's a girl dog named Angelo, but then, maybe that's a name whose gender changes depending on the region. Like 'Yuri'.]

I can tell; she looks like you take good care of her.

It sure feels that way. Maybe they only offer those classes at that time? I never really thought about it before.

[She'd been a little hasty naming Angelo you see, hadn't thought to check her gender before coming up with a name. A little strange maybe, but she liked the name and Angelo did too so what did it matter?]

She takes really good care of me too.
