Summary: An excitable boy discovers everything new and glorious.


He hadn't quite understood what everything meant, but that hardly mattered when presented with all the new sights and sounds. Ginji ran back and forth like a child on Christmas; his eyes were wide and filled with awe, mouth agape and overflowing with 'oohs', 'wow!' and other little sounds of wonderment. Compared to Japan, everything seemed so different but exciting. In contrast to the spiraling towers, densely packed buildings and dirty streets of lower Mugenjou, it just seemed alien.

Nevertheless, every structure was given a curious touch, no bench was left empty--for as long as his patience could hold up, at least, and every passerby received a mirthful (and loud) greeting.

"Orc and...elf?" He didn't know what an 'Orc' was, but his eyes lit up and he looked amazed when she'd said 'elf'. "Wha? You mean you're part elf? So you know where Santa's workshop is? Wow! Or...are you the type who live in the tree and make cookies?!" That was really the only sort of 'elf' he knew about.

"....." Ronnae... didn't quite know how to respond to that. She was so at a loss for words that her face reddened quickly at the lack of communication going after his question.

"I ah... n-no? I'm sorry I don't think our w-worlds have the same kinds of elves..."

"Elves," he said with a knowledgeable nod. "They're small, people who wear green clothes. They're said to work for Santa Claus during Christmas time. And..." Well, he wasn't really going to explain what the cookie elves were. He was pretty sure those guys weren't real.
