Summary: Bulla's BBS post invited everyone to her birthday party on Feb.5th. It is now party time



It was unfortunate that her birthday party clashed with the festival, but it seemed like there was a pretty good turnout so far. There were cadets from her classes, cadets and staff she had seen around in the hallways, and a few people she had never met before. Bulla had taken care to make sure there were things to do. On one end of the place she'd made reservations at, there was karaoke. In another corner, drinks and food could be purchased. In a third, people were playing games, and the fourth area was a sectioned off area for quieter conversation.

As for Bulla herself, she was going around and mingling with everyone. It was important to be a gracious hostess, after all, so she was making the effort to ensure that everyone had a good time, and if that wasn't possible, that their experience wasn't a miserable one.

My Pops is the biggest alcoholic there is. It's sort of second nature to fetch drinks. Besides, this is tiny. At least I don't have to carry around the barrels twice my size here.

It's not a waste. Besides, the nurses usually tell him not to drink so much. Seriously they have some brass balls there.

.... Please. Pops was old and dying, he had IV tubes and a breathing apparatus and he still tried to convince us to hook the booze directly into his veins.

No. Pops never stopped drinking. He died standing and I think if we'd checked the blood in his veins there still would have been enough alcohol to kill a herd of elephants. Even when talking to allies he told them to bring booze if they wanted to discuss things.

But yeah, he was damned impressive. I told you when we first met I'm used to being around people much bigger than me. My Pops was a good twenty or twenty five feet tall.
