Summary: Bulla's BBS post invited everyone to her birthday party on Feb.5th. It is now party time



It was unfortunate that her birthday party clashed with the festival, but it seemed like there was a pretty good turnout so far. There were cadets from her classes, cadets and staff she had seen around in the hallways, and a few people she had never met before. Bulla had taken care to make sure there were things to do. On one end of the place she'd made reservations at, there was karaoke. In another corner, drinks and food could be purchased. In a third, people were playing games, and the fourth area was a sectioned off area for quieter conversation.

As for Bulla herself, she was going around and mingling with everyone. It was important to be a gracious hostess, after all, so she was making the effort to ensure that everyone had a good time, and if that wasn't possible, that their experience wasn't a miserable one.

[While she's flitting around and talking to people, Bulla notices that Espio's not talking with anyone. He's not exactly the king of socialization normally, but he does have friends and friendly acquaintances and doesn't appear to be with any of them.

She's feeling playful and like paying him back for sneaking up on her in the quad before, so when she approaches from the side, she's actually hovering a half inch off the ground. Low enough that she's not bothering anyone with her "weird off-worlder powers", but above the ground enough that she's not making a sound as she approaches.]

[As Katara was only participating in a couple of the Sponsorship games, she was able to make it to Bulla's party-- not that she would have missed it, either way. She arrives with a small gift bag, where inside she had gotten Bulla a gift. She didn't trust herself to be able to choose something that was Bulla's taste in clothing, so instead she got her friend a gift card to a nice boutique in Balamb Town as well as some candies and whatnot.

Not having spotted a familiar face yet, she stands off to where the food is. That's always a good place to mingle, isn't it?]

[Bulla is on her way over to the refreshments - both to buy herself some juice, and to make her rounds. She says hello to a couple of people she's seen around the hallways of the Garden on her way over there, and smiles brightly when she sees Katara.]

[Katara immediately brightens upon seeing Bulla, and gives a wave to greet her.]

Of course! It's your birthday party, after all. Happy Birthday!

[She holds out the bag containing her gift to Bulla then.] I got you a present.

Aww, you didn't have to do that. I mean, I won't say no to a present, but seriously, you didn't have to and it's really sweet of you to get me something. Thank you.

No problem-- it's your birthday after all, and it's a day to celebrate! And how can you not celebrate with presents? It's not anything fancy, but I thought you'd like it since you seem to really like fashion and shopping.

[Rinoa is, naturally going to show up. Festival or not she wasn't about to leave one of her fellow Owls hanging, especially on an important day like her birthday party.

Carrying a small, wrapped box, she heads off to find Bulla with hopes of sharing her present with the other girl in private.]

[Garden Festival Committee or not, Bulla was not going to put off having a birthday party. For an emergency, sure, but the sponsorship games hardly counted as an emergency. She'll be there to keep an eye on things on Sunday.

She's just finishing off singing a song by Brittany Swords in the karaoke area when she spots Rinoa. Passing the microphone off to the next person who signed up, she hops off the small stage to greet her friend.]

Hi Rinoa!

Hey Bulla! [She waves at the other before closing the distance between them.] Great party, it's too bad Selphie's not here. Between the two of you the Garden Festival Committee wouldn't have a thing to worry about.

[Of course the world might implode from the sheer awesome of it all which could be problematic.]

Think your party can handle without you for a minute? I've got something to give you. [She shows the box to Bulla, practically beaming. They'd talked about the idea, but Bulla hasn't actually seen the finished product yet.]

Oh, so people can continue on with clubs after they become SeeDs, then? I'd been wondering about that for Fight Club and Fashion Club.

[Something Rinoa doesn't want her to open in front of everyone? Now she's curious. She nods.]

I think it's doing pretty good on its own.

Oh, Marco. You get to carry Bulla home if she gets drunk.

[Minato is only on some of the lesser sponsorship games, and he had already promised Bulla he'd be there. He took the time to add a few extra songs to the karaoke machine and is currently giving it a whirl.

For such a quiet guy, he seems to take to it with some energy.]
