PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR

Character(s): ERRYBODY (who signed up! ...or who wants to come, just tag in guys s'all good)

Location: UP IN HERE (aka the beach in Galbadia)

Rating: THROUGH THE ROOF (G to R)

Open/Closed/Finished: OPEN LIKE A MINIBAR

Summary: BEACH PARTY

Three days of sun, sand, and complete, unbridled fun--that was what Kiden had advertised, and she'd delivered. The slice of bright blue beach Nida had found for them stretched on one side into cliffs and a cove on the other, sheltered enough to be easily defensible but open enough not to make them targets. If they felt like exploring, well, the wildlife wasn't too much of a hassle, and apparently the jungle is lovely?

They had tents, food and drinks (lots of drinks) and plenty of other interesting things to last for the next three days--and Kiden, for one, was planning to make the most of it.

[she looks up from her book and gives Dawn a wry little return wave]

Because I've found that books don't hold up that well in sea water.

I suppose they're not meant to be read in the water, so they didn't bother waterproofing the, huh. [slight smile.] Why did you want to come if you just wanted to read? Did you want to explore the world more, or something?

I'm always open to an excursion that contains the high possibility of people making themselves look foolish. [she pauses and turns a page]

That, and the change of scenery ought to do me some good. Everyone needs variety, even spooky pseudo-goths.

Oh, I see. It is easier to laugh at people when they let loose. [nodnod.]

I don't think you're spooky.

It certainly eliminates the need to dig below the surface to expose their flaws, yes. The beach is also the only place where I can watch people attempt to drown others and have it passed off as harmless fun.

Well, that's likely because I'm not trying to be at the moment. It's rather difficult to do when swaddled up like a vampire.

I guess it has something to do with adrenaline, exposing their primal instincts, or something. It applies to animals, too, right? [and pokemon of course.] The need to express dominance over others.. Or something like that.

If you have to try, then you really aren't spooky, though.

True enough. And yet should the same actions be taken in a different setting they're looked down upon as overly violent. It's fascinating when you really think about it.

Not everyone can be graced with a natural mastery of their chosen profession. Just because it must be worked towards doesn't make it any less legitimate.
