Summary: BEACH PARTY

Three days of sun, sand, and complete, unbridled fun--that was what Kiden had advertised, and she'd delivered. The slice of bright blue beach Nida had found for them stretched on one side into cliffs and a cove on the other, sheltered enough to be easily defensible but open enough not to make them targets. If they felt like exploring, well, the wildlife wasn't too much of a hassle, and apparently the jungle is lovely?

They had tents, food and drinks (lots of drinks) and plenty of other interesting things to last for the next three days--and Kiden, for one, was planning to make the most of it.

[Just looking over at his Captain with a disapproving glare. Of all the things to happen to them...

As they were crouched in a corner of the airship hiding from sight, Joe had overheard everyone going on about the beach party. Seemed like everyone was excited. And now they were roped into it. On the other hand, the could steal the ship while they were there, but then no one would have a ride back to the Garden, and most likely, they'd be in more trouble for that, and with a lot more people.

They had no other choice. They'd have to join in the festivities.]

[The option to take the ship crossed his mind many times and it was more than just a little tempting but Marvelous knew that these people were in the same situation as they were. If they were abandoned here, they were practically being left for dead and his moral code wasn't going to let him do that.

And since neither of them knew when this airship was going back to the Garden, they had to stay in the general area so they don't get stranded themselves.

So they had to stay, possibly interact with these people and stand out like sore thumbs in their coats while these people stripped down for a swim.

Marvelous' only response to Joe was a shrug of his shoulders.]

Better than doing nothing.

[With that, Joe shrugged off his coat-- because face it, this was a beach, and beaches were rather warm-- rolled up the sleeves of his shirt, and sat down in the sand.]

I heard others saying they brought food and other things. We could always get stuff from them.

[Of course, he expected Marvelous to make a beeline for wherever that food was.]

[Marv did the same, slinging his long coat over his shoulder and looked around to map out the scene in front of them, noting the people there and also looking to find where the food was.

Also keeping an eye out for anyone they have already encountered before who wasn't so fond of the pair. Not that it mattered but, it was good to know nonetheless.]

Yeah. I'm sure they won't notice.

[Joe had tried to take a count of who was there while in the airship, and hadn't noticed anyone that could cause them trouble. Then again, there were a lot of people there.]

[Joe's count might not be that accurate. Marvelous had gone and made a few...acquaintances while Joe wasn't around.

You know, the kind of acquaintances you want to beat till their dead and then when they're down, shoot them for good measure.]

We could go with the crowd or... see what else there is to do. It's a big beach.

Plus, two against one. Marvelous likes those odds.]

We'll head down the beach. Might be something further down. [He's seen all of this and there's nothing. If they go off on a small adventure they might find something.]
