Summary: A monthly meeting between Headmaster Cid and the SeeDs.

[Sitting at the head of the table is the Headmaster. He holds the newsletter in hand, glancing over it while he waits for his SeeDs and Instructors to arrive. A clipboard sits at his side while there are pitchers of ice-cold water and glasses set in the center for anyone who finds themselves thirsty in the middle of the meeting.]

He's swirling his drink around, though. Yes, he took it too early, what of it?]

So have I missed anything important, Headmaster? Or just a lot of new people?

Have you read the latest issue of the newsletter, Instructor Dragonsblood?

[Not to worry; Cid has extra copies and hands one over to Kurt.]

It'll be best if you acquaint yourself with the articles before the start of the meeting if you haven't already; most of the topics we'll discuss today will focus on some of the things mentioned within it.

[And that's one reason he likes Cid. Kurt takes it, absentmindedly swirling the cup as he looks it over. He hasn't quite noticed that the water's gone to solid ice yet. His face darkens as he reads it.]

Headmaster! [Deedlit is early, she hasn't even bothered to unpack yet.] It's good to see you again. Have you been well?

[She's heard things during her missions naturally, but it's always good to hear from a reliable source after all.]

[Cid gestures to a seat off to the side.]

[The Instructor bows her head in greeting to the Headmaster. She's left her pets quartered, to prevent trouble at the meeting.]

[Byakuya is glancing over the newsletter again to make sure there isn't anything he's missed. It's unlikely that anything in the gossip column will be discussed, but he reads over the entire paper anyhow. More attention is drawn to the situation with Galbadia, however.]

[Tom's actually on time! Almost out of breath, he stops at the door to catch it. Resting his hands on his knees, he pants before looking up and seeing Frimelda. He grins, waving in her direction.] Frimelda! Hey!

Instructor Lotice, I hope your cadets are behaving themselves?

[There's one thing he'd been turning about in his head for a while. It's not a major thing, not worth interrupting, but he'll take his chance to ask when it presents itself.]

How many SeeDs are currently here, free, and not Instructors? At the moment, I know of two.

I do believe that the current number of SeeDs who haven't opted to acquire their instructors license to be three at the moment if you count the Commander. With the batch of cadets graduating next quarter, though, the number will surely increase.

[Cid looks around the table before clearing his throat.]

Thank you all for attending today; I'm sorry for the delay in this meeting, especially with some rather important matters which have come to our attention.

[He holds up the newsletter.]

Has everyone read the news articles within the last newsletter?

[Squall nods from his seat at Cid's left. He then glances across the table at Quistis who's seated directly across from him at Cid's right, briefly meeting her eye.

This could either get ugly or it could work out, he wasn't sure on everyone's take on the articles and situation.]

[Byakuya nods. He has his opinions, but the Headmaster and the Commander outrank him, and Byakuya does respect the chain of command. He does, however, have his previous military background, and is willing to discuss strategy if and when the talk turns in that direction.]
