Office Hours 3: Office Hourser
Character(s): Snow and whoever else shows up.
Location: Second floor, the training classrooms
Rating: PG
Open/Closed/Finished: Open
Summary: Once again, Snow is holding office hours!
Didn't matter if you were in his classes or not, really. Snow had claimed a classroom during free hours in the evening, and casually put around word that he was free to talk about any concerns, questions, problems, or general comments the students might have. His class, any class, whatever.
Of course, fellow SeeDs and Instructors could drop by too.
Unusually, this time around, Snow's actually at a desk, writing something. The world might possibly be coming to an end.

"Been a while since I've seen you around. How're classes going this quarter? And is it this one or next one you're supposed to be graduating?" He smiled a little wryly. "Things've gotten so crazy here lately I can't keep track like I used to."

"I need your help with something."

But obviously it can wait, especially giving who's asking. He tosses the pen aside. "What's up, sis?"

"It's Hopes birthday on Saturday. I want to throw him some kind of surprise party, but..." She shrugs, letting her posture loosen.
"I don't know how to. I've never done that kind of thing before."
no subject
More to the point... "First of all, we can't let on that we're not doing anything for his birthday. Hope can be sensitive, if he thought we actually forgot he'd be upset. We give him the idea it's quiet and low-key, maybe just you and me taking him out somewhere. Then... say we make like one of us forgot something, we have to stop by a classroom to pick it up. I bet we could get someone to okay that."

Late!
He walked into the classroom after a casual knock. “Hey Sn-” He stopped. Dumbstruck. The hero... Snow is at a desk. He's writing. How- What- When- What- What?!?! Hope looks unflatteringly stupidly at Snow for a moment. Okay, maybe it wasn't that much of a big deal now he thought about it. But... Snow was more for the confrontation right? He... he confronted Lightning.
“Hey.” He said a moment, realising he hadn't even greeted Snow. “How are you?” He asked moving closer to the desk. Sitting on one of the other desks he took out his water bottle and took a drink.

"So... my classes are going good. All the notes and homework I've done. I think I'm ready for my tests and stuff. I'm trying to take it a bit easier. Been kind of 'all work no play.'" He said almost apologetically.

Snow grinned. Not actually trying to detract from Hope's hard work, of course! "Getting ready for finals, huh? You let us know if it's starting to get to you," he said, leveling a finger at Hope. 'Us', of course, should be understood to mean him and Lightning. "We're not so busy we can't go out for dinner some night, get your mind off things for a bit."

so late.;;
He had to admit, though, seeing Snow work on paperwork was a bit... odd.
"So even you have been shackled to a desk," Cid commented as he walked in, a faint smile gracing his features. He gestured at the papers Snow was working on. "I am not intruding upon important matters, I hope?"

What that entailed, Cid would allow the other to dictate, but he had to admit that he was curious to hear if anything of interest regarding the two Farron's had cropped up.

But Cid's question had an answer that he found honestly surprising. "Happy... really. It's so far from what I thought I wanted to do I can barely imagine it, but it turns out teaching is great!"

"Suddenly I don't feel quite so short." She smiled, walking around so that she could wrap her arms around his neck loosely before leaning against his chair.
First it had been mid-terms, now finals were just around the corner which means she'd been doing a lot of studying lately. Not that she minded, but it was nice to take some time off every now and then.
"Do you have time or should I leave you alone to tackle your paperwork?"

Good Instructing there, Snow.

"Is this the same Instructor who's always making sure I'm to date or ahead on my schoolwork?"
She was teasing and it shows. She knew why her schoolwork was so important and it was for more reasons than because Lightning would have their heads if her grades slipped.
Obviously, she had no intention of going anywhere. Though the mewing, squirming thing in her pocket might have other ideas. What? She thought it'd be a good idea to get Nora out of the room for a little while, have a change of scenery. Was that so wrong?

"Hey Mr. Wintry Condensation! Are you in?" Terezi chuckled.
I'm not dead, so it isn't by definition.

Katara knocked once before slowly opening the door to peer in.
"Are you busy?"

"Good! Classes are a little challenging now that it's almost the end, but I think I can handle it. I'm a bit nervous though-- I can't believe I'll be graduating after this quarter."
