[Marco runs around setting everything up. There's platters of food laid out -- more than enough and some extra as a habit from dealing with Ace and 1600 pirates, a boombox with tons of music, beach volleyball set up, a campfire, and according to Selphie and Marco, fireworks for later. GO NUTS. There will be some threads set up, but you can make your own or do anything! Just remember if the thread gets wild, mark it as NSFW.]

[Hopefully you like sushi because there is a lot of it! There are some vegetarian snacks as well, chips, dips, salsa, you name it, it's there! And also a shark cake, of course.]

[A skinny guy in a white shirt whose face probably isn't too familiar to anyone in Garden just yet can be encountered in this area early on in the evening, eyeing the sushi with his arms folded and a look hovering somewhere between distaste and trepidation.

He sighs and tries to cheer up a little.] Well, since I'm here... [He still sounds a bit nervous. Actually, it's not just about the selection. Here's hoping nobody asks him about any missing deckchairs.

But he does find it in himself to reach down and pick up a handful of breadsticks, just enough to share.

Wait... was that last one on a platter, or just a plate someone happened to leave sitting unattended nearby? Nah, couldn't be.]

Sigyn's parked herself by the food layout with a platter, loading up on sushi. She already has a nice tall mountain of sushi started and continues stacking more on top of it, careful to not jerk the platter or else her perfect sushi tower may fall and be ruined by the sands. ]

So much tasty fish! [ She giggles, all gleeful, and then pops a piece of sushi (octopus) in her mouth, relishing the squishy texture. ] Smo gooK! [ She says with a mouthful of food. ]

Touma's made a concession to the occasion by wearing a loose T-shirt rather than the usual shirt, vest, and tie, chinos rather than the usual slacks, as well as what appears to be sunglasses (they're actually his rarely seen but usual thin, silver, rounded rectangle frames with transition lenses). Holding a plate with veges and dip, he's currently eying the sushi a tad suspiciously...]

[Mikuru, wearing the interesting combination of a kaftan, sandals, sunhat, and a reinforced fingerless glove on her right hand, is setting up a cupcake tower for dessert. (Don't worry, she's mostly working with her left hand.) She steps back to examine her handiwork: The cupcakes are arranged so that the icing colors form a pattern.

[She's pretty proud of herself! Despite this icon, she has a satisfied smile on her face.]

[The net is strung up near the water so that as the tide comes in it'll purposely present an interesting challenge to the players. Or an advantage. It all depends on how you look at it. Play early or be prepared to get your feet wet!]

Tobias is dressed pretty casually for the party, even for his standards -- it's mostly just a loose t-shirt and shorts that are both a bit too big on his tiny frame paired with sandals today. He really was kind of filthy coming in, so being clean and in clean clothing is nice, even if they're going to be sandy and soaked in ocean water soon.

Right now, he's just hitting the ball up and down, bouncing it up from his hands, knees, and feet like an impromptu hackney sack.]

[ Dolphin is super excited to play Blitzball. She's outfitted in a one-piece suit (more like the one she wore with the girl leaguers during that one stint they had as a team), tummy full of seaweed wraps and shaved ice. She is ready to rock and swim! ]

[To be honest, Tobias didn't pay much attention to Blitzball when he was here before, and anything he had known about it has long since been forgotten.

So he's just hovering around nearby, watching curiously.]

Campfire

[No beach party is complete without a campfire, and Marco's got a very nice one going for your convenience. Come toast marshmallows or fish or cheese or whatever else you feel like.]

[Well, if you're gonna stick a fire there, Espio's gonna come lie near it! Espio being Espio, he's not really participating in the games and such very much, but he's happy to enjoy the warmth of a campfire during the evening.

Whether surprising or not, Espio is currently by himself - after all, Toby's got other people to hang around with - which makes him prime target for bugging and harassment.

...but seriously, Espio, who brings a book to a beach party? Really? You're just asking for it.]

[Tobias is by the campfire later in the night, after the running through the water/playing with the sand/just generally acting like a ten year old has gotten him soaked, sandy, and cold.

He's got a marshmellow stuck on a stick and in the fire, his knees pulled up. He's dropped his sandals off to the side at present, probably haphazardly in someone's way.

Pikachu is curled up by but not next to him, letting the fire warm her fur.]
